"You're mental. I can't believe you actually said 'Fuck you' to your teacher." Saehyun says, shaking her head as we hang out in my room. I shrug in response, focusing more on finishing the last of the lyrics for Jae.
"What're you working on anyways?" Saeron asks curiously coming over and peaking over my shoulder. I quickly try to shut my notebook, but she manages to get her hand stuck in it before I can shut it.
"Oh come on. It can't be that bad, is it?" Hyejin teases as she takes it from the both of us. I sigh, shaking my head as I walk out of the room. I know I've got no chance of stopping them at this point, but I've finished the song.
"Hey, Jae? Can I see you for a sec?" I ask, leaning down the stairs to the basement. He grins, nodding his head as he races up the stairs, leaving the other four in the basement.
"Is it finished?" He asks excitedly as we head towards my room. I just nod my head.
"I can't believe you finished it already. You only started working on it a couple days ago." He says quietly, shaking his head as he follows me. When we reach my room, the three girls look up at me in amazement.
"You write songs?!"
"Do you sing them too?"
"These are amazing!" They exclaim as we walk in. I just chuckle at their reaction, taking the notebook from them.
"You actually showed them?" Jae questions in surprise. I shake my head.
"No. They got nosey and took it from me after I finished writing the last line." I answer, pulling the page out of my notebook cleanly and handing it over to him.
"Thank you so much, Annie. You're the best." He grins, giving me a hug before rushing off to his room. He'll end up showing it to the guys tomorrow so as not to make it look suspicious.
"Sit down, missy. You've got explaining to do." Saehyun instructs with a smile. I just roll my eyes, sitting back down in my desk chair where I'd been beforehand.
"Yes, I write songs. No, I've not actually sang or rapped them before. The ones you found in the notebook are ones that I've written but not given to anyone." I explain briefly.
"How long have you been writing for?" Hyejin asks next.
"A long time. I don't know how long it's been since I started. At least a few years though." I answer.
"Have you thought of actually performing the songs or maybe uploading them or something?" Saehyun questions.
"I've considered underground rapping and whatnot before. Recording and uploading. That type of stuff. I've not actually done any of it though. I've always felt like they've needed more than just my voice for it. Besides, I don't exactly put myself out there freely like that, if you haven't noticed that in school." I explain. They nod.
"Maybe we could help you? We could record it and do it together? See if it sounds okay?" Saeron suggests. I shrug at the thought, not minding it.
"Why don't you pick one? You sing it first so that we know what your thinking for how it should go and then we do it together?" Saehyun offers. I nod, flipping through my notebook before picking one I'd written a few times ago.
"Do the others know you write songs too?" Hyejin asks curiously as I pull up the music for the song. I shake my head.
"They think Jae goes through and picks a few songs to combine different parts of them and makes that the song they perform. He's the only one who knows I write songs and make music to go with them, other than the three of you now. But you can't tell anyone else." I answer. They all nod instantly.
