I have liked Gilbert for at least a year now and I'm pretty sure that he likes me back.
We talk a lot and flirt but none of us have actually made a move and asked the other one out.
I was sitting down with Anne and Diana when Gilbert and cole both walk over to us.
"Hey darl" Gilbert said looking at me.
I rolled my eyes "Hey Gilbert"
"Alright class. Today we are doing a spelling bee" the teacher yelled
The whole class groans
"First up, mr Blythe and miss y/l/n" the teacher said.
We both walked up and Gilbert smirked at me
We had both been spelling words for five minutes now and both of us are going well.
"First spell, engagement" the teacher said.
"E n g a g m e n t"
"Wrong me Blythe" the teacher said
Now it was my time to smirk at Gilbert
We started walking home and I felt something grab my hand.
I turned around and Gilbert was there.
"Good job today with the spelling bee" he said
"Thanks you too" I said "but just remember who won" I said smiling
"I remember. It's not that hard to remember anything that a beautiful girl does or says, especially when you are in love with her" he said
I looked at him and didn't know what to say.
"First of all, I'm not beautiful and second, you don't love me Gilbert" I said looking down.
"I think you are the most beautiful thing to ever walk the planet. And I know that I love you" he said while lifting your chin up with his fingers.
You pull him into a tight hug and then kiss him.
"If you wanna see the most beautiful thing that walked the planet, look in the mirror" i said "and I love you too"
