I walk up to the door with a large basket of Food in my left hand and I use my free hand to knock.
After about a minute gilbert opens the door
"Love, I told you I can't go today cause my dads sicker than usual, I thought we rescheduled it for next Wednesday" he asks
I hold the basket up and smile
"I figured if you couldn't come to the date I'd bring the date to you. And I made extra food so your dad could join in too" I smile
Gilbert doesn't say anything and I instantly regret coming
"I'm so sorry, I'm intruding aren't I. You didn't really want to come on the date anyway did you I mean why would you, your Gilbert Blythe and I'm just, well, me" I say and begin to turn around but I feel someone grab my wrist gently
"I think that you coming was an excellent idea and I think that my dad would live the company, he misses you. Why do I need to keep reminding you that your perfect, we've been dating for over a year now" Gilbert smiles and pulls me in the door and gives me a kiss on the temple
I walk in and stand a few steps back from mr Blythes door and Gilbert grabs my hand and intertwined our fingers and pulls me into the room
"I've brought company and company had brought food" Gilbert says to his dad and his dad smiles when he sees you
"Y/n it's good to see you again" he says and smiles at me. "Gilbert hasn't stopped talking about you"
Gilbert and I sit in the floor and I begin to pull the food out and place it on the paper plates I bought and gave a plate of food to Gilbert's dad and Gilbert as well as myself.
For the whole afternoon the three of all all talked and joked around and I rested my head on Gilbert's shoulder and look up to his face
