A yawn escaped my lips as I sat down on a chair, just as Gabriel threw something to me. I caught it and realized it was a soda, and I only raised an eyebrow at him. -"Good work today kiddo, you deserve it." He just said before opening his own, and drank it quickly.

I hadn't had one of these in a long time, it wasn't really what I preferred to drink, but that is just me. I opened it and took a small sip before I lowered it again. My tired mind traveled back to two days ago. Miko had suggested for us all to go to the beach and I had nearly drowned, but that wasn't what were wrong, I had almost kissed Optimus in his hollow form. He is an Autobot, not even human! I sighed and rubbed my temples lightly.

Everything was just messed up right now, my father hates me even more than before and schools just being, you know school. I haven't been able to spend much time at home due to my worsen relationship with my old man, and Miko had gotten in trouble with her host parents, to no ones surprise. Note the sarcasm.

-"Alex, are you feeling well?" Gabriel suddenly asked and I jumped, almost succeeding in dropping the soda. I raised my head so I could look at him and he actually looked quite worried.

-"It's just my father again." I sighed and took another sip of the soda. -"His moods has worsen, so I do not have the courage to be at home right now. And then school is wearing me out!" I sighed and looked away, only succeeding in making some of my hair slide over my shoulder, allowing me to see how much oil I had in it.

-"If there is ever anything I can do just let me know, alright." He said knowing from my mood that I didn't really want to talk about it. Gabriel knew all about the mood swings of my father and such, once I succeeded in pissing him off so much that I slept on the couch here in Bobs workshop for almost a week.

I scoffed at that memory and stood up stretching. I was sore and strait out tired. It had been some quite exciting few weeks and now I just wanted a couple of almost normal nights, without the interference of those stupid Decepticons. -"Thanks for today, boss." I chuckled and got out of my working clothing before I made my way outside only to be greeted by one I hadn't expected; Ratchet.

When I saw his ambulance I practically dropped my bag, forgetting my phone was at the bottom, but I didn't care right now though I would might regret it later. I stood there in my frosen stand until the door opened and Ratchets hollow form excited, that was when I snapped out of it and picked my back up again. -"What are you doing here?" I asked and swung my bag over my shoulder.

-"Picking you up, what else?" He answered annoyed and crossed his arms over his chest. -"Optimus is busy tonight and I was sat to pick you up.

-"So you mean, you've been put on babysit duty?" I said sarcastically before walking to the opposite side of the ambulance. I smiled teasingly to him before I entered the ambulance. The ambulance startede not many seconds after Ratchets holo form had fizzled out.

-"Yes, I have been put on babysitting duty." Ratchet repeated rather annoyed through his radio as we left the mechanic. I smiled brightly at his comment. I knew how much he hated the 'babysitting duty'.

Not another word were said between us before he pulled up before my house. My heart literally got caught in my throat as I looked upon the house, no light were on, so I suspected that my father were already asleep. I somehow feared that Ratchet would find out about my secret too, as Optimus had done once.

-"Alex, is something wrong?"Ratchets voice pulled me out of my thoughts. Ratchets holo form looked at me with a worried expression, which was unlike him.

-"It is nothing, I am just tired." I lied and reached for the door, while pulling my bag up from the floor of the car.

-"Why must you all lie so badly." Ratchet asked honestly and caught me off guard. My head snapped to him and I raised an eyebrow out of pure surprise. -"Alexandria do not think you can lie so easily to me, I know there are something on your mind. There is something that is bothering you. I cannot only see it from you, but too from the way Optimus looks at you, it is as if he wants to protect you."

I almost dropped my mouth, again he had surprised me. Beneath all that hate and annoyance he carried there was a completely different man, or Autobot as they were. -"I appreciate the concern Ratchet, but that remains my problem." I said this quickly before opening the door to leave. I heard him say something to me but I did not catch it before the door was closed.

I sighed and quickly made my way for my house, but another car door closed and I heard footsteps before I was yanked around, only to face Ratchets holo form again. -"If you appreciate it, why do you act like this?"

I was about to reply when I heard the lock click behind me and I froze in my stand. -"Where the hell have you been!" My father yelled while slurring his words. I turned halfway so to look at him.

-"I am sorry sir, but I am to blame." It suddenly came from Ratchet, who too tried to take a step forth, but I stopped him by placing a hand on his chest.

-"You do not come here and talk so easily to me!" My father started and soon the, properly, empty beer came towards us, though it did not hit any of us.

I turned fully to Ratchet and pushed him back a bit. -"Go, this is not your fight." I pleaded before giving him another gentle push. -"I beg of you!" I almost cried, already knowing very vell what would happen next, if he did not leave.

When I heard my father come towards us, I quickly turned and stood before him. -"I am almost eighteen, you do not decide for me anymore you drunken idiot!" I yelled and he forgot all about Ratchet, as I ran past him.

As I stormed inside my room, I just hoped that Ratchet had left. Though I knew I had some explaining to do tomorrow.
