I woke up at 5:30 am as usual, but the door wasn't banged shut and I knew. My father was still in the house. I sighed and stood up, I couldn't sleep anyway, I knew that already. On the days he didn't leave for work, I would quickly finish my morning routine and get out. I wouldn't stay not with that bastard near me.

I quickly regained my clothing, my jeans slipped on quickly as did the blouse I had chosen. I roamed my room for a bit and had quickly packed my working clothing and another pair of clean clothing, into my sand colored back. I would need it tonight when I was at work, I always worked in the weekends, and mostly everyday after school to avoid the drunken bastard, who was supposed to be my father. I was saving money for when I was to move out from home, one more year and I could do that.

I was unusually quiet, when opening the door. The lock made almost no sound when it clicked back. I released my anxious breath when I reached the door, but I shouldn't have. "Where are you going!?" It sounded from behind. My father was apparently awake. "And where were you last night?"

I turned to see him, he had washed up. He didn't look like his usual self, but the heavy alcohol smell was still there. "At work." I answered his last question, trying to be as honest as possible. "Remember, I too have work. At bob's mechanic." I was truly anxious about the situation. When he took a step forth from his previous position at the door. His hands were crossed and the eyes showed anger, sorrow and regret.

"I remember. But where are you going now?" He asked the short curly blonde hair, was pushed back by the hand he had lifted. "It's almost 6 am in the morning." He added and dropped the hand to his chest were it was placed over the other again.

"Study class." I blankly lied, however he knew I wasn't being truthful.

"This early? Don't take me for a fool." My father warned and raised an eyebrow. He had guessed my lie, I sucked at that one thing, but it did work when he was drunk. "You think I'm stupid?" He asked, anger could be traced in his voice. "Get back into your room, that's the punishment for lying to me!" He ordered when a trucks horn sounded once.

"I won't!" I disobeyed and took a step back. I was facing him when one of my hands touched the door handle and turned it slightly. "I'm 17, you do not decide for me!" I said quickly but that was a mistake. My father took one step forth and hit me. I was pushed back, through the door I just had opened and landed on my behind outside. My right cheek was hurting like hell, though it wasn't the first time he had hit me.

"I hate you!" I yelled and got up. I ran to Optimus who had opened the door already. "Drive!" I cried and looked at the wheel. He hesitated, but when my father made a move towards us, he drove away. I cried while looking out the passengers window. My father was standing there, clearly furious.

Optimus didn't say anything to me while we drove through the town, though I was still crying and my cheek were still throbbing. We reached outside town when Optimus suddenly pulled to the side. The holo-form appeared and a hand was placed on my shoulder. "Why did he..." Optimus started.

"He hit me because I disobeyed and lied to him." I cried and looked at the Holo-form. Optimus raised his other hand and placed it under my chin, "Shouldn't someone have a look at that?" He asked and I could trace the worry in his voice.

"It doesn't matter." I said and took my head back. I covered the cheek with my hand and looked out the window again. "Optimus can this stay between us?" I asked quietly.

"It can." He replied and I heard the fizzling sound of the holo-form disappearing. He drove back to base without another word

I was standing on the platform near the couch waiting for the others to appear as well. Optimus and Ratchet was talking when I heard it, laughs and the engine sounds. They came driving in through the tunnel. Arcee, Bumblebee and Bulkhead transformed once their humans were on the ground beside them. I smiled though I was a bit envious, they had truly gained a new friend, were it was different for me and Optimus.
