chapter 10

Adelyns p.o.v.

I slumped against the wall as i felt my whole world come crashing around me. Did i really just go that though? Ill never get Jack back, never! Am i even ready for that to happen?! Ive been out here for what seems like hours trying to put all the pieces together, but in all reality i lost a piece for the rest of my life.

"Hey are you okay?" a strange male voice softly says above me, but i just dont feel like looking at anyone right now.

"Just leave me alone okay!" i still have my head in my lap," i just want to be alone!" I finally look up and see the guy whos in my 9th period. I didnt know what to say so i just stared at him until i could think of something to say.

"Fine i was just being nice, but if you need me ill be inside. My names kaleb by the way..." im still looking at him completely speechless, " and now is when you tell me your name??" he said with a smile. I couldnt help but laugh because it was sorta funny.

"Im so sorry, my names Adelyn but my friends call me addy sometimes." i extended my hand to shake his and in return he helped me off the ground.

"Its nice to meet ya, so if you dont mind me asking what exactly are you doing sitting out here all by yourself in the dark?"

"Its a long story, id much rather not talk about it, but ive got to get inside and find my friends so i can leave." i say as i start to walk off slowly.

"You mean the girl who left with Allstar baseball player Cameron, i believe her names Caylen-"

"Yeah but i have other friends and my boyfrie-"

"Tyler? Im pretty sure hes occupied with himself and games. Last time i saw him he was headed toward the pool tables in a hurry." Great this guy knows everyone but yet i dont know him.

"Who exactly are you again?" i ask my best trying not to sound rude.

"I go to school except for last year, i got in some things and didnt come here, but now im back. I dont talk to alot of people but i know alot of people if you know what i mean."

"Well okay then, that could be why i dont know you," i giggled," do you know how far a bus stop is from here?"

"Oh no, i may have just met you but im not going to let you take a bus home especially not this time of night!" Wait? What does he mean this time of night?

"Exactly what time is it?!"

"Almost 2 a.m., i drive you." He said, i considered it.

"What if your crazy and try to kill me?" i say jokingly.

"Im pretty sure you could kick my ass, so thatd never happen. Just trust me itll be safer than a bus ride you know how many people get killed or kidnapped at bus stops? Especially women?!" Hes got a good point, i consider it some kore and finally decide to gave in because i can feel the sleep ease in.

"Okay fine, but no funny business!" i joke.

"Yes maam hands on the wheel at all times." He says as i start following him to his car. As we start to walk i stop because i notice a beautiful 69 chevy camaro. I run up to it to get a even closer look and it was just as beautiful closer as it was at a distance.

"You like camaros i take it?" Kaleb says catching up to me. I turn around and look at him like hes crazy.

"Like them? No more like love them. Its my dream car..what id do to own one."

"Wanna take it?" he says, i considered it but the thought quickly left my mind.

"Are you crazy, thats grand theft auto!" i say looking at him like hes mad," besides the owner would sue us for more than we gor, atleast i know i would."

"You cant get in trouble foe stealing a car that belongs to you sweetie" he says laughing. It took be about 10 seconds to process what he just saod in my head.

"This is yours????", i say stunned, "NO WAY IT CANT BE!"

"Oh but it can watch." he says as he pulls a set of keys out and unlocks the door and gets in. Im still standing there in complete shock. He starts it up amd the engine purrs without a single miss.

"You gonna get in or what?" He hollers over the car. Without even thinking i run and get in the car.
