Chapter 24

Brooke's POV:

We all start heading towards Splash Mountain. I was really excited! I loved this ride a lot! My favorite part of this ride is when they take your picture at the end on the drop. I looked around because I could not see Layla. I looked behind us and Layla was walking really slow behind us holding her stomach. I was really confused, but then I thought and then remembered when we were young Layla,Jade,and I went to Disneyland together. Layla would not go on any of the big roller coasters or any big or scary ride. Jade and I did but she never did. I walked behind us and went over to her.

"Hey are you okay?" I ask.

She looks down and shakes her head.

"I have um....never been on this ride and I'm scared to go on it. But I don't want to look like a baby in front of everyone." She says looking down.

"Hey it's okay if you don't want to go on it. No one is going to think you are a baby." I say rubbing her back.

"Thanks Brooke. I'm going to go on because I better find out if it's really scary or not." Layla says with a small smile.

"Great,,now come on everyone is waiting." I say smiling.

Layla and I jog back to everyone.

"What were you guys doing?" Matt asks.

"Are you okay Layla?" Cameron asks walking over to Layla.

"I'm fine now. Oh and Brooke was just telling me something." Layla says.

"We'll if we are alright now let's go on the ride!" Jade says leading the way.

We all walk to the line and it's a 20 minute wait. I look back at Layla and she is starting to freak out. I think everyone notices and they are looking at her.

"Layla what's wrong." Jade asks.

Layla just looks at them and looks down.

"I am scared to go on the ride because I have never been on it before." She says.

"Layla it's okay we are all here with you. And you can sit next to me and hold my hand if you get scared." Cameron says smiling.

"Yeah and you can have your bestie with you too." Nash says.

"And your other bestie." Matt says smiling.

"Hey I'm her bestie." I say pointing at myself.

"No I am." Jade says laughing.

Layla laughs.

"You all are and thanks." She says.

"Now let's get in line and get on the ride and have some fun!" I yell and everyone cheers and we get in line.

Layla's POV:

We are very close to the front and I'm starting to freak out again. Cameron is standing next to me and I guess he can tell when I'm starting to freak out. He looks at me and grabs my hand.

"I'm here if you get scared." He whispers to me.

"Thank you." I say.

A log pulls up and we are next. I'm starting to shake but then Cameron squeezes my hand and smiles at me. I give him a small smile and climb into the log and sit next to him. I look and I hear Matt talking to Brooke.

"Hey um....do you want to sit next to me?" Matt asks.

I see Brooke smile.

"Sure." She says with a smile.

I smiled. I was glad my two best friends were getting along...really good. I was pretty sure Matt likes her and I know Brooke likes him. I look and see Nash and Jade laughing. I see them as best friends/relationship like your best friends and your dating. We all get in. I start to get nervous again and I squeeze Cameron's hand. He looks at me and smiles.

"You will be fine and I'm right here if you get scared." He says.

I nod and then the ride begins. I look at the bottom of the log and keep looking at it because I'm to scared to look up.

"Layla look up." Cameron says lifting my head.

I slowly look up and I smile. There were little dancing animal robots inside. It was colorful and there was music and everything.

"Wow I never knew what was inside." I say looking around.

"See it's not scary." Cameron says.

Right after he says that a little drop comes. I scream and I dig my head into Cameron's chest. He hugs me tight and rubs my back. I pull my head up and I'm still a little shaken and everyone is looking at me.

"Are you alright?" Brooke asks rubbing my shoulder.

"Yeah I just didn't know there was a drop in here." I say

"Don't worry the big one is fun." Jade says smiling.

"We'll I hate drops so I don't think I will enjoy it." I say.

We keep going through the ride and I see light.

"Okay Layla the drop is coming." Nash says.

I take a deep breath in.

"Are you ready?" Cameron asks taking my hand.

I let out my breath.

"Yeah as ready as I'll ever be." I say.
