Emma's POV

I'm sure Dylan was surprised to see me in the lobby at 11:55am holding two Starbucks coffees.

"Well, don't you look nice," Dylan said, looking me up and down.

"Only the best for you," I teased. I was actually proud of my outfit today. Light washed jean shorts, a light pink tank top, and a gray cardigan. I also picked out some cute shades and a brown messenger bag. "So, I got you one coffee today, and decided to save the other one for another time."

"Good plan. Ready for the picnic? The baskets in my car." he said. I nodded and we head out.

"You know, I leave tomorrow morning at nine, so today is the last day I'll see you." I tell him.

"I know. It sucks."

"But we'll see each other again, right?" I asked. We were in the car now and he reached for my hand.

"God, Emma. Of course! We have each others number so we'll keep in touch." he said, squeezing my hand tighter.

"Yeah, okay." I wasn't too worried, its just I know how people can lose contact and I really like Dylan.

"Alright, we're almost there, so pit this on," he handed my a blindfold.

"Seriously? Okay Dylan, I'm trusting you," I said putting it on.

Two minutes passed with the radio and the busy city being the only sounds. Suddenly, it got darker.

"Uh, Dylan, why'd it get dark?"

"You'll see," he said, and I began to get a little nervous.

The car stopped.

"Can I take it off?"

"Not yet" he said, and he got out of the car. I heard my door open and Dylan unbuckle me. "Okay, now hold my hand and follow me."

I did as he said and then waited for my next instruction.

"At least its light now," I said.

"Now, sit down and on three, take off the blindfold," he said. I sat down, surprised to feel a blanket beneath me.

"One," I started, with my hands ready.

"Two," said, and I heard something hit the ground.

"Three," we said together and I untied it.

Woah. I looked around and at first all I could see was the tops of different buildings. Then I saw a few trees, and eventually, my eyes led my to Dylan, his smile from ear to ear.

"Were on a roof," was all I could say.

"Yes, but not just any roof," Dylan said. "Come here."

I followed him to the railing. The building we were on was over looking the park.

"Oh my god. Dylan, this is great!" I jumped and gave him a hug.

Dylan's POV

So far, I thought it was going great. Emma seemed happy, it wasn't rainy or too hot, and I hadn't screwed anything up yet.

We sat on the white blanket and I unpacked the basket.

"Ooh! I forgot to show you this," Emma said, grabbing something from her bag. She pulled out a mini Polaroid camera.

I chuckled. "That's pretty cool."

"Say cheese!" she said, I smiled cheekily and she took the picture.

It printed out and she smiled.

"Lemme see," I said, reaching for the picture.

"Oh. You'll see it," she smirked. She held the Polaroid above the set up and took a picture with her phone. I knew what she was doing. Sure enough, within 30 seconds my phone made a ding.

"I see how it is," I said as I pulled out my phone. It was the picture of me, with me and the picnic in the background.

She smiled as she shook up her coffee.

"Shall we get started?" she asked, gesturing to the sandwiches and fruit.

"We shall." I said, handing her a plate and a sandwich.

We ate, took pictures, laughed, and watched the view.

"Dylan, that was delicious. Thanks so much," Emma said, pushing her brown hair behind her ear.

"Yeah, it was really no problem, Em. It was fun."

She smiled, looking down.

"You okay?" I asked her scooting closer.

"God, I'm gonna miss you a lot." she said, looking up, her eyes watering.

"Emma, stop it," I sat next to her. "Emma, I promise we'll talk a lot, and text, and even see each other. Just don't cry," I tried to console her.

"I'm not crying, I'm just bummed. Its sad leaving places and people you like." she explained.

"I know, Em. Especially when they're as awesome as me," I joked, trying to brighten the situation.

I tried go cheer her up with cookies, and it worked. I mean, hey, it would for me.

By two, we were ready to leave.

"You know what we should do?" Emma asked.

"Hmm?"

"Go to Beacon Hill," she laughed, and I did too.

"As fun as that sounds, I was hoping we could just hang out in the hotel, and maybe figure out what to do there."

Emma agreed and we packed up.
