Emma's POV

"Really mom, do we have to go to Boston this weekend? The fireworks will be the same everywhere." I pleaded.

I mean sure, going somewhere new for the Fourth of July would be fun, but Steph, my best friend, is having a huge party and I was dying to go.

"Sorry hon, but a little bit of family time won't hurt. So, finish packing, because the flight leaves Thursday at noon."

It is Tuesday. I have plenty of time. I walk to my room and quickly call Steph, explaining how sorry I was, and telling her to take lots of pictures. I really am sorry. It is going to be the party of the year, not just because Steph is rich and its being held at her beach house, but because Steph knows everyone. She's one of the most popular girls in school, with her perfect blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and skinny, fair body. I dont know if I'd say I was jealous of her, I mean, I'm happy with the way I am. Sure, my wavy brown hair can get frizzy, but I dont think I'd trade it in for anything.

I walk into my sisters room to see what she's up to. Shes fifteen, three years younger than me, but we get along.

"What's up?" I ask, sitting down on her bed.

"Can't talk. Watching Teen Wolf." she shushes me.

"Gosh, Megan, you and that god damned show."

"What?! Tyler Posey is SO hot. And it has a good story line." she argues.

I'm not gonna lie. It is a good show, but I'm into comidies and romance more. Not a huge fan of vampires and werewolves.

"Yeah he is, but that Stiles guy is f-i-n-e, fine." I wink at her. She knows Dylan is my favorite from the show, so she rolls her eyes and presses play.

The next day, Wednesday, I start packing my bag for Boston. Just the usual, a pair of jeans, some shorts, and even my Hollister sweatpants. I throw in a couple t-shirts, bra's, undies, then pack toiletries. By the time I'm done packing, it's 3pm, so I decide to grab a granola bar and watch the newest episode of my favorite T.V show.

I'm halfway through the episode when a Twitter notification comes up, and without meaning to, I miss the rest of the episode due to an invention called the iPhone.

I spend the rest of the day hanging around the house, and hoping for something good to happen in Boston.
