We made it quick this time since the taxi was running.
"Text me when you land," he said with a smile. I nodded back, got into the car and within a blink, we were driving away.
The ride to the airport was fifteen minutes. Fifteen long minutes. Fifteen minutes with a lump in my throat, already missing Dylan.
When we finally got to the airport, I was glad to see it wasn't too crowded.
My dad went to print our boarding passes, and soon enough we were in the long line for security.
Ten minutes in the line, we were only halfway through. With my parents ahead of me and Megan behind, I spent the ten minutes thinking. Thinking about Boston, about Dylan, and about home. ...But mostly Dylan.

"Wait, Dylan, what are you talki-" I'm cut off by Dylan's soft, pink lips.
And then it's happening. Dylan and I were kissing.
"Dylan," I smiled after we, um, unattached.
"I'm sorry, it's just, well, I really like you Emma. A lot, and I had to let you know," Dylan said.
"I like you, too," I smiled. "A lot."
"Thank God." Dylan laughed.
"Excuse me, your boarding pass, please?" the security lady asked.
Thankfully Megan went ahead of me.
"Dylan, I've gotta go," I tell him.
"Yeah, yeah. I know. Don't forget to text me," he smiled, and started walking away. That was it.
