"Don't do something stupid. Don't follow me out that door right now."

"For fucks sake, Billy." Harley practically shouted in annoyance as she watched the school security guards drag Calum away into the principal's office like a criminal. His brown eyes were trained on her, still worried more about her safety than about the consequences he would soon see, and he signaled his two closest friends, Niall and Andrea to help her. The two blondes sprang into action and got on their feet, helping Harley get back up. Her brother did the same, jumping forward to help her, but she swatted his hands away.

She was more than only mad at him, and behind Billy, Luke continued to smirk victoriously. If Harley didn't know for a fact that Luke wasn't a shifter, she would have highly suspected him in that moment. He had an uncanny ability to manipulate the people around him so well. Perhaps it was the fact that he was so lonely all of the time. It gave him the opportunity to practice, and use his silver tongue to make people do what he wanted. It was also useful in preventing people from leaving him like his parents constantly did.

Harley's blue eyes narrowed into thin slits as she spoke with venom seeping through her words. "What the fuck is your problem?" She brought her hands up to her brother's chest and pushed him back, trying to get past him to hurry to the principal's office. She would straighten things out and tell their principal that Calum was only defending her. He was only helping her when her brother was trying to start a fight. Surely the school had some security cameras they could look at. Billy was her brother and she loved him, but she couldn't let Calum take the blame for something he didn't do. It was unfair.

"Everyone's talking about you two!" Her brother shouted through angry words.

He just wanted to protect his sister, like any older brother would. But Harley thought he was taking it too far, and it was no doubt Luke's doing. He had probably filled his had with bad ideas about how Calum had soiled his sister's honor as some kind of game. No one knew Calum better than Luke, as they had been best friends since pre-school before they had a falling out in high school. What Luke didn't know, or didn't care to know was that Calum had genuinely changed. That he really loved Harley and would never do anything to hurt her. In the span of a year, he had changed for the better.

"I don't fucking care!" She shouted back, trying to get the words through his head. "They can say what they want. As long as I know I've done nothing wrong, I'm okay."

She finally managed to push past her brother and as she did, she saw Luke still giddy, standing behind him. She shot daggers at him through her blue eyes and when their eyes met, she made a command in a whisper. Her eyes boring into his blue ones hypnotically. "Luke," She hissed, and he immediately stopped his snickering . His face went blank, as he waited for her to finish her command so that he could follow it mindlessly. "Punch yourself in the face."

At that moment, she didn't care if everyone saw. She didn't care that people would question why he did it or how it happened. She felt a rush of satisfaction as she saw his hand ball up into a fist. The next thing anyone knew, he had punched himself and staggered back, falling against the wall. Everyone in the lunch room either broke out into fits of laughter or murmurs, confused as to what was happening. Billy turned and quickly went to help his friend recover from the hit, his blue eyes filled with curiosity and confusion as the memory came back to him. He looked at his sister. She had been there that time he got punched in the face and didn't remember who it was. She was here now that Luke had mysteriously punched himself in the face. It couldn't be some coincidence.
