"Hey!" Niall snapped out of his daze out the window when fingers snapped in front of his vision, his best friend Louis' head coming into view. "Mate, I've been trying to speak to you for the past five minutes. What planet are you on?!" Louis asked, he was leaning over his desk, straining to get Niall's full attention on him, which wasn't surprising with Louis' rambunctious character. "Sorry, was just-"

"Day dreaming?" Louis interrupted with a smug look on his face. But as he turned his head to look behind Niall, his expression become stern. "What I was trying to say to you, that creepy Zayn kid is looking at you again, hell, he's been looking at you since the start of class. He got a grudge on you or something?" Louis asked, still staring intently behind Niall.

Niall slowly turned his head to look over his shoulder, seeing the raven haired, tattooed infested boy glaring at him, but once their gazes locked, a sly smile crawled up the mysterious boys pursed lips. Niall whipped his head back, his heart racing as he frantically searched the classroom to see if any of the other students saw the little moment, but none did, all focused on the written assignment.

A snort from Louis brought Niall out of his stew moment. "I swear to god that boy was born in hell." Louis mumbled and Niall almost wanted to glare at his friend, Zayn wasn't a horrible person, he didn't kill or bully people, the boy was just shy and anti-social, there was no harm in that. "If he doesn't bug anyone, then I don't see why people could make him sound so cruel." Niall said, and he almost was about to curse himself, but he needed to defend the poor boy.

Louis looked surprised at Niall's defending words, brows raised as he straightened in his seat. Louis leaned forward, looking at the teacher who sat half asleep behind her desk. He slowly moved his mouth to Niall's ear a small smirk on his lips. "Rumors spread fast Neil... And this boy ain't no cute little fluffy bunny in the inside." Niall gulped and turned his head away from Louis' mouth, facing back towards his desk. He had never heard the rumor on Zayn Malik, but he didn't care, because he knew the real Zayn.

The bell rung and the first one to fling out of their seat was Louis, tugging Niall roughly behind him as he rushed out of the classroom and down the hallway to the schoolyard. Niall grumbled, whining at Louis to let him go and eat, but his mate didn't let go of him till they sat on the bleachers that overlooked the school football team. "I'm hungry Lou, please-" Niall was interrupted by a sandwich getting thrown at his face, a gasp leaving his lips as he caught it in his lap. "Yours, don't like eating while I'm smoking." Louis said and pulled out a pack of smokes from his back pocket that was slightly squished from his big ass.

Niall glared at his friend, seeing Louis pull out a cigarette and move it between his lips, taking out a lighter and cupping his hand around the end of the fag till it illuminated his palm. Louis pulled his hand away and leaned back against the bleachers, squinting up at the sun. "You know I don't like that you smoke Lou, just one party and your already hooked." Niall whines, shuffling away from his mate. Louis huffed and glared at him with the cigarette between his teeth, a small wall of smoke and the smell of ashes between the two of them. "I'm not going through this with you again Nialler, just enjoy the view of the lacrosse team." Louis said, moving his hand along the landscape of hot, sweaty boys doing their normal four laps around the field. Niall huffed and just leaned back, elbows on the steps about him as he desperately tried to block the tangy stench of cigarettes.
