When Ashton didn't reply to my tweet, I went on a rampage. One that included hitting Calum's arm repeatedly - much to his dismay.

"Was I too straightforward?" Punch. "Does he think I'm a creep now?" Punch. "Oh god, what if he hates me?" Punch. A really, really hard punch.

"Goddammit, Cassie!" Calum grabbed my wrist in his hand and shook my arm violently. "Calm your tits! You're bruising my arm for god's sake."

"I scared away the first guy I've ever had actual interest in," I growled. "I cannot 'calm my tits', Calum Thomas Hood!"

"Babe, just breathe alright?" he motioned for me to breathe, so I did. "There, all better?"

I nodded slightly and he sighed in relief, "No more hitting CalCal?"

"No more hitting CalCal," I repeated. He released my wrist slowly and I held up my hands to show I had no more violent intent.

"Good. Now, I'm sure Ashton doesn't hate you," Calum soothed. "You probably just surprised him, is all."

-Ashton's POV-

I am mentally squealing because this girl is going to be the death of me.

Cassie's reply was so bold and I wouldn't have ever expected a girl like her to be so flirtatious. Not that it was a bad thing - no, the exact opposite, really. I liked it. She was different. The best kind.

I couldn't even respond because I was still in the process of wrapping my brain around the fact that she knew me and possibly even liked me. I was awestruck. 

Snapping out of my reverie, I quickly decided to DM the girl on my mind in order to sate my desire to get to know her.

A few minutes later, she finally replied, sending my stomach into a whirl of butterflies.

I giggled at how cute their friendship was. They were the definition of siblings.

I couldn't hold back the giant smile growing on my face. This girl was something else. Making my heart explode just by calling me a nickname. How would I survive meeting her (if I ever did)?
