Kody X Lumine

Howl?

Lumine Pov.

I wagged my tail in bed. I smiled thinking of yesterday, Kody accepted me and then played fetch with me. Which surprisingly was really fun. I was actually tired after too. Normally I wouldn't play games like that with members of my pack. My parents were nice to me and everything but they had other things to do with our pack. Being alphas and all. Being here made me happy because Kody doesn't want to be my friend because of what I am going to be and actually doesn't seem to want to be my friend anyway. But I'm getting closer. One of these days he'll see me that way even if I like him a bit more than friends...

My thoughts drifted to my mother. Her white hair was smoother than mine which was more fluffy. She was a caring person but I understand why she'd be upset why I wasn't coming home. I have been gone for a while after what father told me to do. I know I've been missing for quite a while now but sending him after me means that they do still care about me. 

I get up and get dressed after a short period of time of just thinking of things that didn't really matter at the time. Then I get up and stare at the clouds. I then got into the thought about which was fluffier my snowy hair or the puffy clouds...

I then got breakfast to see Kody on his phone in the living room. I looked at him with a smile I didn't get one in return. He looked tired. He gust gave his usual glare. But this time I thought I did do something wrong I just wasn't sure what. I didn't think to ask seeing as this was most likely normal Kody behavior. 

"What were you doing?" He asked me I tilted my head confused. "What do you mean? What do you think I was doing?" "It sounded like howling or something..." I haven't howled in a while. Normally we howl in packs to let people know where we are, or to celebrate a full moon. So it couldn't have been me... "It wasn't me, must be a stray or something....." "I barely got any sleep thanks to it..." I frown. 

I don't think Kody staying up all night is good for his heath and he has school tomorrow apparently getting out of bed to go to school was hard enough for Kody on Mondays now he's actually going to be tired. "Hey Lumine" "Yes Kody?" I turned quickly to face him. "You're a ware dog, how did you not hear the howling?" I flinch. I'm not a ware dog and it's in a way insulting to be called one. "You know me, I slept through someone robbing my last master... I'm not the best... ware dog" I say in an awkward tone. Kody pays no attention to this thankfully. He rolled his eyes and groaned laying on the couch.

I guess I'm an even worse ware wolf for not hearing the robber come in when we ware wolves can hear better than any ware dog.... I shook my head casing Kody to look at me like I had seven heads. Then I swatted my hand acting like there was a fly.

Later that night.

Kody Pov.

It was around time when dad forces me to go to my room and sleep. The dreadful howling began. It was more annoying than dad trying yo get me to smile. I can only think about Lumine seeing as the relation between howling. It's not like I think about him often. Or at all! Author don't give the fangirls any ideas...

A fourth wall repair with duck tape later

It continued and I got up annoyed from all the damn howling. I see a taller ware dog with light brown fur and another with blonde and white fur. I glared at them trough the darkness straining my green eyes squinting to see  through the trees they were going past they looked like they were guarding something or patrolling the area. 

I should tell dad about this. Nah, I'm to lazy to do that anyway. I then see something very small and white hiding in a bush. I couldn't quite make out what it was but it seemed to be hiding from the other ware dogs. Is that why they're howling to search for the little white pup or prey? 

Dad opened the door. "Kody what are you looking at?" "Nothing just heard something. I'll go back to bed" Dad peered over my shoulder but didn't see the ware dogs behind me. He leaves watching me lie back down. As soon as he does I hear a long powerful howl cutting the silence I should've used to fall asleep. 

Lumine Pov.

I hid in a bush and stared out to see the a familiar wolf. One was a member of my pack.  The brown furred one I've never seen before showed up. "I see you've come little fluff ball" I hear my hated nick name. I mean I am fluffy but I don't like being called that. It was a wolf from another pack. I back up not wanting to be seen in my tiny form. I crouched real low and then a white rabbit bounced over me. "You think that's Lumine?" "No. I my nose is just playing tricks on me. That's obviously not your little future alpha" "he has a name." I hear a howl from a high ranked pack member, a gemma or a beta. Not strong enough to be an alpha...

Both wolves look to the woods and leave in different directions. They both let out loud howls. There was just about nothing I could do to keep them quiet. I should mask my scent more before investigating howls too. Thank god for that rabbit....

I then go back into my room and try to think of a way to stop this howling so Kody can get some sleep. 

I know this was a bad chapter but it's just a base for a future chapter. I hope you enjoyed it... Baiiiii
