Kody X Lumine

Sickness

Kody Pov.

I woke up the next morning after finding Lumine with the greatest headache ever. Then when I tried to get up o felt like I had sleep paralysis. So here I am in bed unable to move with a bad headache. Great...

After a few minutes I was able to sit up and move again. It wouldn't matter if I missed school today anyway. I don't want to go back to get kicked in or have the chance of Lumine getting hurt on my behalf.

Then I hear the dreaded knocking on my door. The last thing I need is for Lumine to know I'm not feeling well. Knowing him he'd alert my dad then try to take care of me. And then the worst part would be that in the end from helping me , he would get sick from me.

"Kooooooody it's me.... Kody? Open the door. Please?" The door creaked open. Slowly the white fluffy haired boy peeked in. Barely sitting up most likely dark bags under my eyes. Feeling quite green.

"K-Kody are you okay!?" He said pushing over to me. He puts his hand over my forehead. Blushing slightly my face becomes even warmer. "You're hot Kody" I blush deeply. "W-what?!" "You're burning up... I don't wanna bother your dad I think I'll just tell Sherry so she could help me a bit. Other than that I'm gonna take care of you" "I think I'd rather have a real doctor" I say "that's the kind of thing your dad would get worried about... Can you stand?" He asked me.

I try to get up nearly fall bit Lumine catches me. Surprised at the fact he could hold my dead weight. "I guess that's a no" he says breathless from when he caught me. He then helps me back into bed. "I'll be right back" he says his tail wagging.

Lumine Pov.

Kody was really sick. He wasn't even able to stand. His face was really warm too. Turning the hall to get Sherry, I turn onto my pupper form to get around faster.

I found Sherry in the next room. "Sherry!" I barked. "What Lumine?" She responded. "Kodys really sick..." "Why not tell his dad then?" "I don't want to bother him after yesterday. And I just want some help making him feel better..." "Lumine. What if he was very sick and he needed a doctor? Trying to help him yourself can be a bad thing for him" I frown not thinking of that just wanting to repay Kody.

Sherry however sighed getting up from the couch. "I'll get him a warm compress and some soup" "thank you Sherry!" I say going back to human form happily going back to Kody's room.

Kody looked a tiny bit better still looking sick. "Kody Sherry's going to make you some soup that might help..." "It's hot in here...." He groaned I pull the covers to the side so the blanket wouldn't be too hot from it. "Is that better?" "Still hot..." I open up a window. A cold burst of air rushes in. "Cold" I close the window a little over half way so not all the cold air comes in only half as much. "Is that any better?" "Yeah...*coughs* thank you" he must be really sick hes never been  this nice me.

Sherry brings in the food and Kody sits himself up. Slouched over he takes the bowl and nearly spills it on himself. Would I have to feed him? I can't even imagine him letting me do that.

Then again he is sick so... My hand shakes slightly holding a spoonful of the soup. "Open..." I say quietly and repeatedly think don't drop it. Don't drop it in my head. Kody obeys. Surprised at this I then put the spoon to his lips then this continued until their was no soup left.

"You should rest now. It's supposed to help you get better" "okay.." he said falling to his side. "Goodnight Kody" I whispered. Tail swaying happily knowing I did something good.

Also Kody missed school so I bet he liked that about being sick.

When I got back to my room I sneeze. My ears fold down to the Idea of my face. Oh well, at least Kody is doing better... I think to myself burring my face in my pillow.
