Dad wasn't wrong when he said this place would be nice. It's been a week of our stay here and it's been awesome. We even learnt how to hula.

Okay attempted to.

Tonight, dad has time with us and decides to set up a bonfire on the beach. He said most people from around would be here so we should look our best.

Dads, am I right?

Sky and I are up in our room, literally going crazy because we don't know what to wear. Are we going to wear matching outfits? Dad would like that.

We end up deciding to put on a pair of  sweatpants, winter boots and a cotton long sleeve top.

We realized it was gonna be cold.

Getting to the beach, we see that dad and Ash had set up a fire, managed to pull logs together for seats and there's a grill. A few people have started to surface but not everyone yet hopefully.

Fine, I'm talking about him.

"sky, do you think he'll show up tonight? " I face Sky, my voice coming out lower than expected.

" uhm sure, mm hmm mmh hmm " Sky mumbles something I can't hear, with a mouthful of pie. I glare at her as I snatch the pie off her. I run into the house, managing to sneak some into my mouth as Sky follows up behind me.

Our giggles echo in the hallway.

" Jazz, share with your sister" Dad says struggling with something in the kitchen.

"hey! It's her who won't share, she's such a selfish glutton" I retort, sticking out my tongue to Sky.

"no, I'm not, I just like to eat without giving any to anybody, that's all - Oh I see your point " Sky grins, snatching the pie off my hand, doing a little victory dance.

I roll my eyes and help dad out in the kitchen.

...

" when your legs don't walk like they used to before, and I can't sweep you off  of your feet, when your hands don't play the strings the same way, oh, darling would you still love me the same? "

Sky and I sing and Ash plays the guitar at the bonfire. People gather around waving their hands to the rhythm.

Well you could say it's a show now.

While singing, I spot Alec in the crowd. Oh wait ALEC!! We lock eyes and I continue to sing, my lyrics now being directed to him.

Ugh melodrama!

For some reason it seems like he's walking up to me, Sky and Ash. Oh my brain. Wait no! He's actually coming. I watch him with wide eyes as he joins us in singing.

"so, baby now, take me into your loving arms, kiss me under the light of a thousand stars " he gestures towards the sky which stars are twinkling in. "oh, darling, place your hand on my beating heart" he takes my hand and places it against his chest where his heart is - literally. "thinking out loud, maybe we found love right where we are"

We stop singing and people start applauding, making us break away from our little world. I then notice Sky had stopped singing and all eyes were on us.

All eyes.

My dad's.

I feel a blush creeping up my cheeks as I hid my face with my hair. The circle formed soon breaks and everyone goes back to other activities.

"hey angel face" Alec says looking deeply into my eyes with a smirk on his lips.

I wonder if they're soft.

Really, jazz, really?

Hey! You were thinking it.

"hey bad boy" I copy the smirk on his lips and play it cool.

"didn't know you could sing, I just thought you're a movie star and a TV commercial actor " he is still looking into my eyes.

" uh, neither did I know you could sing too " I retort,  crossing my hands over my chest.

" well, I have a few tricks under my sleeves--" I tune out, I take this time to admire his amazing features. The light from the fire gives his face this contour and his hazel eyes, glinting under the stars. His lips, full and pink moves angelically as he speaks.

"woah, I didn't know you were this into me, I mean you're totally eye f*ckin' me right now " he chuckles slightly, breaking me out of my thoughts.

I can't let him know he's got an effect on me.

" what? Eye f*ckin' you? Really? Pssh you wish, silly. I'll catch you later, or do you want to come heat up marshmallows? " I switch the topic completely.

We walk together over to the others ; dad, sky and Ash, seated on logs by the fire. We settle down on a log.

" uhm dad, this is Alec, we were on the same plane from home down here, Alec this is my dad, Morgan Blue. " I introduce them to each other because dad has been giving him the stink eye all Night.

"you remember my siblings too, Sky and Ash" I say, gesturing to both of them on a log beside me. Ash smiles and Sky says "wassap n*gga" with a smirk on her face.

Oh no, I know that look and it's not a safe one.

"hey second angel face, hey Ash!" Alec retorts, the smirk never leaving his face.

He's so cocky.

And dreamy.

Shut up!

I'm scared of dad too... *bites fingernails * What's he up to?

Hope he doesn't do something crazy.

What's up with jazz and Alec?

Oh I'm so craving roasted marshmallows right not.
