After party

AFTER PARTY

It's the after party and mom decided to throw it on the beach , our own beach — you know, the one behind the house? Yeah that beach .

White wedding- beach , after party - another beach.

The beach is so full , I feared there'd be no where else but the water for the rest of the guests to stay. There's loud music bursting through huge —gigantic speakers , there's a buffet, a luau ...everything .

There's Alec and Brantley.

The nerve that boy has still showing up to the after party?!

"Hey... can we talk, please?" Speak of the devil.

I turn around trying my best not to roll my eyes , I look up to meet Brantley.

"What is it now?" I question rhetorically .

"I'm sorry Jazz"

"Jasmine . It's Jasmine." I correct him , hell no is he allowed to call me Jazz. He's undeserving .

"I'm sorry Jaz-Jasmine , I- I don't know what came over me but Bailey? She means nothing to me. I swear , she was just a one-night stand —a clingy one." He spoke, not looking away from my eyes.

Could he be honest?

"Sure?" I ask .

"I swear, you gotta trust me Jazz. It's you I wanna be with." He takes my hand in his and gives it a light squeeze.

I nod .

"Jazz!" My mom calls  through the loud music .

"I- I gotta go" I say turning around to find my mom but get pulled back and having some soft Jamaican lips crashed into mine.

Are second kisses even more mind blowing?

I pull away , in awe , no words. I just stare at him, did he just? I didn't, what—

"Jazz! There you are , mind helping me with something at the buffet?— oh hey Brantley, I kinda have to borrow her." She says pulling me along .

I just stare in awe and let her drag me with her to do some chores.

What just happened?

I find Sky at the buffet , not helping but eating . I tell her everything that happened right from the wedding till now. She's even more shocked than I am .

"So Alec?" She questions . I just stare at her speechless.

"Jazz!" She calls.

"I-I don't know Sky , I mean I thought I knew but with all that , I don't know how to feel." I sigh heavily and bow my head.

"Hey Angel face!" Oh perfect timing .

"Hey you!" I fake giggle.

"Wanna take a short break and come hang out with me?" Alec offers , having that mischievous smirk on his face.

Ugh boy!

"Uhm sure." I abandon my little chore , send a look over to Sky before walking away with Alec.

"So nice party, don't you think?" He lets out a little laugh as we walk away from the crowd farther down the beach that's quieter.

"Hmm, yeah two beaches huh?" I scoff.

We just talk and talk about different things, we arrive the farther end of the beach near the trees, where I saw Brantley and Bailey the other day. I shake that thought away.

I shiver a little, realising I left my jacket at the buffet table. Alec quickly takes his off and places it over my shoulders. Cliche but cute.

We lock eyes as he helps place the jacket on me. His hands run down my hands , from the part that was covered with the jacket to the part that was bare and then my palms. I look down shyly, breaking the intense stare down.

A cold, strong palm lifts my chin up slowly , causing me to raise my head . I look into his eyes and he looks at my lips and then my eyes and I look at his lips...

We all know the drills , don't we?!

Yup second kisses definitely beats the first. But hang on, why always the same day?! Ugh .

I guess two kisses one night repeated itself. Is that a sign? But it's not like we'd be one a threesome couple or something . Ew.

"Hey Angel face" he says casually , breaking the ice after the kiss that got me planning my future with both guys.

"Hey" I sat shyly , looking at my shoes.

"Let's get you warm, how about we go sit by the bonfire?" I smile and nod yes.

And bonfire repeats itself too...

The walk back wasn't awkward. He held my hand and I placed my head on his shoulder as we walked slowly into the crowd .

And that's when something catches my attention .

You've got to be kidding me.

I stop at the sight of Brantley, kissing Bailey in the mist of the crowd. Are you joking?! He just professed his love for me like what? Fifteen minutes ago?

And you just kissed another guy.

Well I didn't tell anyone I loved them!

They pull away and him searching the crowd for whatever reason, we make eye contact . I swiftly turned to face Alec and crashed my lips into his.

I could feel the burning look from Brantley at the back of my head . Alec of course complied .

I pull away and take his hand as we have a sit by the bonfire , where Albert and Sky were making out.

She pulls away and smirks at me . I smirk back knowingly.

She mouths " so Alec huh?" Gesturing towards the fine guy seated by me .

I nod.

The chaperone hands out glasses of wine for the toast .

Ding ding ding!!

"A toast, to my mom and dad, my heros and favorite couple in the whole world! No offence Sky and Albert" I held my glass High and speak into the mic  had in front of my mouth .

And with that everyone raises their glasses to my toast.
