Beach day

Having mom here with us is the greatest thing that has happened this summer. Lies! I met two hotties! But not to ruin the moment , I love having mom around especially in the same room as dad, i just get the hope and feeling they'd get back together .

Today we all choose to spend the day together as a family , I'm not sure if I can say one big happy family cause , one, were just five and two, my parents are divorced .

Dad calls off work today, I cancel my plans ha! Like I had any. I was hoping to meet up with Brantley or Alec but whatever. Sky cancelled her appointment in dreamland that girl can sleep for centuries. Ash took a break from video games.

"Breakfast!!!" Mom's voice finds a way to pierce through the floors and walls of the horse getting to each and everyone of us in our various locations . Who am I kidding we were all in the living room watching KUWTK .

Man, they rich!!!

Without any hesitation we dash into the kitchen. Including dad. He must have missed mom's cooking too , mom had a skill for cooking , her food taste like unicorns and rainbows that have to do with angels and sparkles. Get it?

Oh my...

Mom had prepared pancakes, waffles , eggs and bacon . She set them down, each in their own bowl plate and put out the syrup bottle and some butter . Also a jug of orange Juice and big spoons for dishing.

We say a pray a short prayer before digging in.

"Hmm mmm uhm muh ugh" I mumble as soon as this blessing of a meal touches my tongue . Every bite was precious and I decide to take my time and savour every moment. On the other hand, Ash , dad and Sky eat like wolves. Talk of savour.

Mom and I lock eyes and begin to giggle. " this is good , mom" I make an 'okay' sign with my hand and continue to eat .

After breakfast, I help to do the dishes and dad tidied the table way to make mom notice him ha!
While sky and Ash lie in their chairs like bags of potatoes. The idiots stuffed themselves up with a stack of pancakes and waffles . They even made milkshakes afterwards and didn't make for me.

I walk into the living room , towards the TV set I put in an old movie we all loved to watch as a family . Titanic

Yunno to bring back those memories. Hey! Excuse me I'm trying to fix my family? .

We all squeezed ourselves into the very large soft couch and somehow Sky has a bucket of pop corn . How she does it? I don't know .

After the movie we played some clips from when we were each born , you know for the laughs . Ashy was so cute now he's untamed his demon . Brat!

"What do you guys wanna do now?" Dad clasps his hands and then rubs them together, a thing he does when excited.

I wanted us to leave him and mom alone to see if they'd make out but mom made us take oaths to spend the day together.

No we did swear on Justin Timberlake's perfect smile that we'd spend the day together . Urgh curse his great smile.

"Check our the beach?" Mom suggests . " it's been heck long I've been out there, we'll if y'all don't mind" Mom lowers her head, I see a blush coming up .

She'd been blushing too much lately. Ugh love.

We each hurry up to our rooms to get ready. We change into our swimsuits and flip flops, apply sunscreen not like our black skins can't handle the sun but I'm not getting burnt bruh! I put my portable speaker , chocolate bar, phone and sunglasses into my beach bag and Sky does the same only her chocolate bar is more like bars with the 's' .

By the time we get down , mom had packed some snacks , sodas and waters into a picnic basket. Wow she's really kin on the family beach day.

Dad on the other hand is walking shirtless and got his dark aviator glasses on , down the stairs in all glory, built body out in the open and his shorts hanging perfectly on his waistline revealing his 'v' shaped abdomen.

Ew. If it were to be a teenage guy I'm sure my drool would be more than the ocean out on the beach . But my dad? No thank you.

I catch a glimpse of mom , my neck snapping quickly back to her direction , tracing her eyes to dad! She's tots checking him out . I recognise this look in her eyes, I've seen that look on me, Sky , Shelby , Grandma Hilda and now mom? That's the look you have when you're in love.

She loves dad like a lot. Then why the divorce? Ouuu questions for another day.

Bringing me out of my thoughts were Sky and Ash walking down to join us in the kitchen. Ash looking like the smaller version of dad with his shirtless self, shorts and aviator glasses. As for Sky , she looked like Me!

"Hey, why are we wearing matching bathing suits?" Sky points out . Then I realised me, Sky and mom each have on our lavender two piece bikini set we got last year when we visited Miami to see grandma Hilda .

Crazy.

"I want out" I quickly chip in with my hands up in the air like I was about to be arrested.

"Hey come on , dad pronounces the 'k' sound so much, you guys look great" dad says , feeling more confident when mom nods in agreement.

"it's bad enough we twin everyday in face but not outfits" Sky whines.

"Oh shut it ! I should be complaining, not you"

"With what? Two minutes?"

"Well-"

"Shut up already you guys let's move it now!" Ash hisses . We are look at him and without uttering a word we go out through the back to the beach .

Ive been finding it hard to update Just a little feeling y'all may not be liking my story but I'm not gonna give up just yet thanks to a few compliments I got .
