To say Wally had an exciting stay at his Uncle Barry and Aunt Iris' house was an understatement.
He was shocked his father had let him go at all. However, he knew from experience it was best not to ask why.
However, as soon as he finished waving goodbye to Barry and stepped into the house, he knew he was in trouble.
His father towered over him, glaring.
He was drunk.
Wally could see it in the way he swayed where he stood.
Rudolph grabbed Wally by the collar of his shirt. He shoved Wally against the wall, and punched him in the face.
"YOU LET HIM SEE YOUR ARMS?!" Rudolph screamed in Wally's face.
Wally flinched from the harsh tone.
"Y-Y-Yes sir." Wally stuttered, bracing himself.
He felt himself be dropped.
He opened his eyes and blinked in confusion when an attack did not come.
However, he was frozen when he saw what his father was doing.
He was using an empty alcohol bottle as a weapon.
He smashed it on Wally's head. Black spots danced in Wally's vision as he stumbled backwards and hit his head on the wall.
Rudolph lifted Wally up by his arm.
Wally screamed from a sudden spike of burning pain.
He looked down to see Rudolph had stabbed him in the abdomen with the broken bottle.
Hot tears streamed down Wally's face.
Rudolph pushed it in further.
Wally screamed more.
Rudolph dropped him to the ground, and kicked him into the living room.
"Clean up this mess." Rudolph said, maliciously.
Wally barely heard him though, darkness clouding his vision.
This was how he was going to die?
Wally almost chuckled at the thought.
He thought he would have passed heroically, saving someone, or dying peacefully from old age.
Not crumpled on the ground surrounded by a pool of his own crimson blood.
Murdered by his father.
He had it coming, for a long time, really.
Wally considered using his Comm Link to get someone to help him, but considered against it.
Why should they care?
That was the last thought Wally had before everything went black.
... ... ... ... ...
Wallace Rudolph West late for patrol?
Sure, he was usually late for everything, but this was too late.
The Flash looked around nervously for his nephew and sidekick.
Nope, Wally wasn't here.
Then that word came to his head again.
Abuse.
Sure, Wally could just be running later than usual.
That's probably it.
