Iris was baking cookies, simply because she was very concerned at the moment.
She had felt a gust of wind, so that meant Barry was home, but as soon as she felt that gust of wind, another gust of wind going the opposite direction.
Why did Barry come then leave without even stopping to say hello?
This had happened a few minutes ago.
Barry still hadn't returned.
She started mixing the cookie dough faster.
RING!
Her train of thought broke as she turned to look at the phone.
RING!
She rushed over to the phone.
RI-
"Hello?" Iris asked into the phone.
"Iris." She heard Barry mutter sadly.
She sighed in relief.
"Oh, good, Barry, you're alright." Iris happily said.
Barry inhaled sharply over the phone.
Iris' eye brows furrowed in concern.
"Well, I'm not hurt... but someone else is." Barry said, hesitating.
Iris' eyes widened.
"Who?! Is it a league member? One of their sidekicks? An important civilian? A normal civilian?" Iris hurriedly asked.
"One of the Justice Leage member's sidekicks. On Young Justice." Barry, voice trembling.
"Oh no! One of Wally's friends?! Who is it?" Iris asked, ready to comfort her most likely grieving and overly-dramatic nephew.
"......"
Iris' eyes narrowed.
"Barry." She said sternly, sure that Barry flinched at her tone of voice. She didn't want to use it, but if she had to, she would. "Who got injured?"
"Wally." Barry breathed out.
Iris froze.
"Where are you?" She asked in a 'no arguments' tone of voice.
Barry sighed over the phone.
"The BatCave." Barry replied.
"I'll be there as soon as possible." Iris said, hanging up the phone.
She rushed out to her car, and started it immediately.
She drove as fast as she could down the roads to Gotham City.
The gloomiest place on a Earth.
That didn't matter at the moment, though.
All that mattered right now, was Wally.
... ... ... ... ...
Sorry for the short chapter, it's sort of a filler. Sorry I haven't updated this story in so long.
