Part 13-Song selection for competition

At PVKM,
                 After becoming dance partners sameer naina were on cloud 9,they were more than happy with the thought of being close to each other.The happiness of their hearts was reflected through their eyes which wasnt ready to leave each other during their recess.The whole gang was sitting together in the canteen and now it was their everyday routine to sit together and have lunch.The boys used to have canteen food but after their friendship with the girls,they no longer had the oily stuffs of their canteen.They would happily gobble up the food brought by naina preeti and swati.Naina had secretly kept a lunch box separately for sameer.Munna pandit were busy chitchatting with swati preeti respectively and side by side they were having their lunch.Sameer was constantly staring at naina ,making her blush.Naina gestured him with her eyes to look down.Sameer looked down and saw a steel tiffin box in her hand which she was passing to him.Sameer looked at her confusedly and asked kya?through his eyes.Naina widened her eyes and gestured him to take it.He smiled and took the lunch box.Hiding the box from others he slowly opened it and found that it was his favourite aloo paratha rolled  with smile on it ,designed with the tomato ketchup.The aloo parathas and the smile left him happily surprised and with lovefilled eyes and a beautiful curve over his lips, he looked at her .Naina too smiled and asked him to have the parathas secretly.He mouthed a thank you and she glared at him angrily.He laughed on her actions but this time the rest four observed the exchange of glances between them.Samaina were oblivious to other's presence and so they kept on staring at each other.Munna pandit got up from their seats and went behind sameer while swati preeti too repeated the same thing and went behind naina.They tried a lot to seek their attention but everything failed, finally mundit and swapree looked at each other and then smiled,the next moment they started tickling sameer & naina respectively.Samaina finally came out of their world and started blushing .
                      After the gang teasings and samaina blushing,munna said chalo ab bauhat masti ho gai kuch kaam ki bhi baat kar lete hai.Pandit and sameer looked at each other with stern expressions and then started laughing.Munna asked has kyu rahe ho tum dono?maine to koi joke nahi mara.Arey tu aur kam ki baat karra hai ,isse bada koi joke ho sakta hai kya?asked pandit and the gang started laughing and gigling after hearing his statement.Ha ha theek hai kabhi kabhi chamatkar bhi ho jaate hai.Ab sochna bhi hai ki kaise dance practice karna hai kaunse gaane lene hai?munna again started talking seriously and this time swati too supported him by saying haa yaar ab bauhat kam din bache hai ,sirf 10 din hai humare pass jo sochna hai jaldi sochna hoga.Everyone in the group nodded in approval while naina said aur nanu ka birthday bhi to hai unke liye bhi to tayari karni hogi na humei.Sameer was overwhelmed with her concern and he looked at her with pure love in his eyes."Ahem ahem"nanu to sameer ke hai ,wo soch lega na kya karna hai tu to dance practice ke bare me soch behen,replied preeti in a teasing manner.Sameer was annoyed by her statement and unknowingly he replied "Jo mera hai wo naina ka hai"On hearing him,munna pandit who were drinking campa cola spilled  out the drink from their mouths as they were more than shock  to hear such a direct confession from sameer's side.Preeti and swati nudged naina who was sitting shyly with her head bowed down just to hide her blush.Amm amm ..mera matlab hai ki nanu mere hi hai par tum sab mere dost ho to saath hi manaeyge na unka birthday.Everyone nodded their heads in approval but with a teasing grin on their lips.
                       Naina tried changing the topic by saying to humein jaldi se songs select kar lene chiye aur deri ho gai to practice kab karege.The gang agreed and they started thinking about some songs for their competition.Pandit suggested"Mere samne wali khidki pe ek chand ka tukda rehta hai"he was continuosly looking at preeti who was sitting in his opposite side,while this dedication made her blush.Sameer and munna nudged him and said bhai dance karne ke liye gaane chiye kuch aur batao.Now it was Munna's turn to suggest so he started "I am a disco dancer,zindagi mera gaana,mai kisi ka deewana" and he pointed at swati and in response, she glared at him faking anger.Sameer, Naina, pandit and preeti kept their hands on their foreheads and ignored munna's antics completely.
               Naina ,ab tum hi kuch btao ye log to timepass kar karke hi sara time waste kar dege ,sameer hopefully looked at naina while she just smiled in response.Suddenly,she screamed ,Idea!!.The gang's face light up and they excitedly looked at her for some good suggestions.To idea ye hai ki hum songs ko mix karke ek parody type kuch banaeyge aur uspe dance karege.Sameer and gang loved the idea and they asked her to explain it further and even suggest some songs for parody.She started thinking but suddenly something came into her mind.Arey par ek problem hai ,she nervously spoke.They all shouted kya??Dance competition to couples ke liye hai she spoke sadly and then suddenly blushed on looking at sameer coz she remember how they became dance partners for this competition. They all became upset because for sometime they had forgotten that it was a a couple dance competition and not a group one.
                     Suddenly,an idea popped itno sameer's mind and he said dekho tum log udaas mat ho hum is dance ko aise theme se karege ki couple bhi ho jaeyga aur group bhi .He looked excitedly at each one of them and asked SAMJHE? ,but their confused faces did show that no one could understand anything.He nodded his head disappointedly and spoke arey matlab naina ke idea ko use karke hum har couple ke liye ek song select karege aur  jab teeno couples ka ek ek dance ho jaaye to akhiri me ek group dance rakhege par usme bhi hum apne partner ke sath hi rahege .Aisa karne se kisi ko koi objection bhi nahi hoga aur humare wish ke hisaab se group and couple dono type ke  dance bhi ho jaeyge.kaisa laga idea?
The gang now understood his plan and they all started clapping for his idea.Sach bhai sameer tu to bauhat smart hai spoke pandit while munna said smart to hoga hi akhir bhai kiska hai and he started raising his collar in pride.They all laughed at munna's antics while sameer spoke"Ye sab to naina ke diye idea ki wajah se hua hai ,uske hi idea se mujhe ye idea bhi aa gya ,to asli taaliyon ki haqdaar naina hai "he spoke these while looking straight into her eyes which she had lowered after a few seconds because of her shyness.Their friends continued clapping for them and then they all started thinking of some good songs for their theme.
                  Sameer was continuosly looking at naina and while adoring her he slowly inched a little closer and hiding from other's he spoke in her ears "Aaj hum dono ke ideas milaake humara itna accha theme ban gaya,ab to mujhe yakeen ho gaya hai ki humari jodi the best hai"Naina who was listening to him with lowered eyes and a wide smile suddenly felt as if her heartbeats had stopped racing and nervously she looked at sameer who himself was confused that why he spoke such lines to her.He passed a confused smile to her while she said "Sach kaha tumne ,humari jodi No.1 hai"and the next thing she did was totally unexpected,she mischieviously winked at him which left him dumbfounded.
                    They all continued to think of some good songs but sameer's mind was shifted to some other thoughts.These little talks and gestures between them was making him confused again and again while the bet was long forgotten.With a confused heart and mind ,the restless soul was lost in his thoughts while sitting beside his 'soulmate' whom he had failed to recognise at that moment.
