This does not have to be limited to a binary but many people want to have some information regarding gender just so they know how to type out impersonal references to your character. If this is a grey area for your character, do not hesitate to be descriptive as in gender-fluid, non-binary, FtM, MtF, or even N/A (for non-applicable).
None of this necessarily must relate to your character's sexuality. If you feel the need to specify their sexuality, you are probably welcome to do so in whatever bone of the character sheet feels most appropriate to you, but in many instances it will become evident to yourself and to the audience once you actually begin using this character in discourse.
