What the hell is happening, Bora?
The car ride was mostly silent except for the time I gave him directions to my home. The radio played the background music while I was enjoying the view from the window. People were leaving for home and the shops were closing down. Suddenly, Taehyung pulled the car over and I looked at him in confusion.
He answered looking at my confused face, "Let's have ice cream!" He got out of the car and went inside the convenience store without even waiting for my reply. Was he even asking? I got out of the car and went inside. He had already chosen the one he was going to buy and asked me to hurry up and chose one. I chose chocolate flavor while he chose Strawberry.
We paid for the ice creams and were now leaning on the hood of the car and eating our ice creams in silence. Enjoying before it melts. I finished mine before him while he was still struggling to eat his ice cream which was now on verge of being called a strawberry shake.
"You gotta be fast with the ice cream or it becomes whatever you are eating now." I chuckled while he ignored me. I was surprised how Taehyung, the one with the deep and heavy voice and with the most serious face most of the times, was now looking like a 5-year-old struggling with the melted ice cream. How many personalities does he carry? How can he be so sweet at one moment and then become the most arrogant the other minute? This guy is like a puzzle I can't solve; a difficult puzzle which you can't solve yet can't give up on.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice that I was actually staring at him. Once done with his ice cream, he smirked at me staring at him. "Wow! I ain't that beautiful babe that you can't take your eyes off me?" He brought me back from my trance. I scoffed at what he said. "Don't be so happy boy, I was probably looking at ice cream and not you. Ice cream over boys, any day" I sang. He shrugged. I was surprised at him not answering me back. "Wha...? Kim Taehyung has no comeback for me? Which direction did sunrise today?" I teased him exaggerating my shocked expressions. He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.
"I guess I am not in the mood for a fight today." He went silent after that, staring at the sky up above us. The moon was shining brightly. It wasn't a full moon but closer to one. His face sparkled under the moonlight, highlighting his features and the little mole on his nose. But his lips, which usually had a smirk or the cute boxy smile, were now in a thin line. He was sad.
"You really miss your roommates, huh?" I asked him and a soft smile appeared on his lips.
"I miss them. But they will be back by Monday. Just 2 days, not a big deal." He replied without looking at me. He was avoiding eye contact.
"Are you telling this to yourself or me?" We both chuckled. "I guess I am telling myself. Ever since I moved in with them, this is the first time I am living alone at our place. They have been by my side through my thick and thin." I nodded, listening to him. "Wow! That's great. You gotta have this kind of friendship in your life. They make it worth living it."
