Years passed quickly and now that today is my eighteenth birthday, Well, I never expected this.

"Leon, honey! Wake up already! The Simmons are already here. I just saw them unpacking through our window. Do you remember them? Anyway, hurry up! You're eighteen now. Might as well help me prepare for your party later!" I heard my mom's voice downstairs.
I grunted and sat down on my bed. "Stupid birthdays!" I rubbed my eyes and stretched a bit before going to the bathroom.
Entering the bathroom, I looked up and saw my reflection in the mirror. I'm eighteen now. I'm a big boy. Okay so I tried to remember what my mom told me earlier.
Wake up
Eighteen
Party
and uh...
Oh! Simmons!
I already woke up and yeah I'm already eighteen, er. Yes, the party ofcourse and then Simmons— Hold up there! My eyes widened as I continued staring at my reflection. Simmons? The Simmons are back?
You've got to be kidding me.
So does it mean, She's back?
Holy Sh— poop! I meant poop!♦
I hurriedly took a bath and went out the room.
I peeked through my window and gazed through her window. I can see shadows!
Oh Goodness! She is really here!
What am I gonna wear?
Is she even coming later?
Would she recognize me?
Will she remember my name?
What does she look like?
Wait, Is she hot?
I slapped my face away from my thoughts. Gee, what am I thinking about? Its just a girl I haven't seen for nine years.
Your childhood crush perhaps.
Urgh! So what if I still like her? I bet she doesn't even remember my name. I need to stop thinking about her! Oh well, If I can.

Its already 6:00 pm and I'm expecting my friends to be here around a few minutes.
I kept pacing back and forth in our living room. I can't wait to tell Cody that she's here! That she is finally back!
"Leon! Just sit down! You're giving me a headache by just pacing around the living room! Are you alright? Is something bothering you dear?" my mom questioned me. Annoyed and concerned expressions showing out her face.
"No mom. I'm fine. Its just that.. um.. I'm excited?" I mentally slapped myself. I made it sound like a question rather than a response.
My mom obviously didn't buy it but nodded anyway.
