I pushed my question to the back of my head as I snuk out to try and catch the guy, my spidey-suit has been needing of some action for some time. After I made it outside I had to figure out how I would get to New York. I ultimately gave up and got an Uber (#notsponserd) to pick me up at the gate of the compound.
"What are you doin' here?" The stocky guy asked.
"I have, reasons. Anyway could you please take me to New York, wherever you think is best as long as it's there," I replied, trying to make my voice sound deeper than it really is.
"Okay Mr. Spider-Man, that'll be quite the investment though,"
"I don't care, please just take me to New York!" I pleaded.
"Okay, get in the car," I did as instructed and got in the vehicle. He drove off as soon as I got my seat belt on.
It took about an hour before we got there. But we made it in the first place! I got out of the car and put the bill onto Tony's tab I've created.
"Thank you!" I said as I left the car and walked out into the night. I found one of my favorite buildings to sit on and climbed up it, waiting for the trouble to begin.
Nothing. It's been like this for about two hours when I heard screams coming from below. I look over the edge to see the guy looking back up at me. I decided to wave to see what he would do, he ran. He ran as far and as fast as his legs could take him. But I had a trick up my sleeve, web shooters! They are great for chasing because there was no way I could have run like that. So I swing from building to building trying to keep this guy in my sights.
"Want me to activate instant kill mode?" Karen asked.
"NO!" I yelled. I swung slightly ahead of the person who's been cause all this trouble and do a back flip to face them. "Long time no see-" I get cut off by them spraying the weird poison in my face. I begin coughing to rid my lungs of the costic material. My head beginning to hurt and my stomach doing flips, I fight through it. With the little dexterity I have left I grab onto them, pulling their cloak and mask off. It was the person from a while ago, the one who said ' Dude that was totally cool!'. Why them? I thought how did they get into the compound? I had so many questions.
"Dude why?!" They yelled.
"I'll ask the questions. How did you know it was- hurk - it was me?" I asked, trying not to barf.
"You aren't a very good lair,"
"Okay. Point t..... ta...taken-" I squeaked out. " Why are you doing this? I thought you said I was cool - humph," I continued, doing my all not to lose dinner. I could tell they had increased the dosage they gave me. Everything's spinning, nothing feels like it should.
"Because, if you don't show people who's boss, they'll show you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have something to do," They snickered, pulling away from my weak grasp. I couldn't keep it in anymore, that last amount of movement was enough to send me over the edge. I hurriedly pulled off my mask and and let loose everything inside my body.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think you'll be going anywhere," Tony spat out. He deployed a little net type item that encased the villain and quickly took them down. He made a hand motion, but I didn't see the rest of it as I went back to upchucking. "Kid, I told you not to do it," He spoke tenderly as he grabbed me and began flying to the compound. "Why do you always do this! You try to make something better by going it alone and not listening to me! I try and I try to show you that everyone needs help! And what do you do? The OPPOSITE!!" He scolded.
"I'm sorry-" I tried to say, but dry heaving got in the way. I felt darkness encase me as we got closer.
Author's note:
Sorry for the sucky chapter, I've been busy with school, other stories, and life in general. But I really wanted to get something onto this story before long, so here it is!
