Waking up

"Kid, hey, wake up," I heard someone say. Last I remember I was being flown home by Tony after the attack. "Peter, it's time to get up. Please," It said again. I opened my eyes to see a very distraught looking Tony.

"Ugh," I groan as I put a hand to my forehead. It felt like my brain was about to explode and my stomach was doing flips as I woke up.

"Peter, we have them in custody. They wont hurt anyone ever again," Tony whispered. Wiping my hair out of my face.

"But why? Why did they do it?" I asked, my voice weak and shaky.

"That doesn't matter to you. All that matters is that you're happy and healthy," Tony reassured.

"But why did they feel like they needed to do this?" I asked, more sternly. Frowning. I want to know what caused them to do this, why they wanted to hurt people.  Why someone would be so... so.. so cruel.

"I'll tell you when you're better, but right now you seem to be having a worse reaction than you have before, so please.. just rest. Okay?" Tony added, giving me a slight side hug. I hadn't noticed, but now that I'm thinking about it, I do feel different. I feel warmer, more fatigued. I want to just lay down and sleep. But my head is pounding so hard that it makes rest impossible.

"Okay..." I sigh, trying to close my eyes and sleep. It doesn't come quickly but I do drift off to dreamland.
