{14} Befriending Katashi

Third pov

Katashi stared down at Shiyoko who had tears in her eyes. He had finally calmed down enough to bring the temperature back to normal. Sighing he sat on the ground in front of Shiyoko. He sat directly in front of her and stared at her for a few seconds before he sighed again. He lifted his hand, placing it on top of her head, looking away when she looked up.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you cry..." He stated as he looked back at her. His face instantly heated up and he looked away again.

"I... I also didn't mean it when I said it was your fault your brother's angry... School's probably just giving him trouble." He mumbled. Shiyoko stared up at Katashi silently before nodding slowly.

"Oh o... okay." She said softly.

"Hey, Bakugo-chan."

"Ye...Yes?"

"There's a fox spying on us." Katashi stated dead panning at the tree Minato was hiding behind. They could see his tail. Shiyoko giggled smiling a little.

"I know... you can come out now Nato-kun." Minato flinched slightly then poked his head from behind the tree, only to be met by Katashi's amused eyes with a raised eyebrow staring at him.

He growled softly, rolling his eyes at the boy as he walked over and took a seat on the ground next to Shiyoko. He folded his arms and took a deep breath in then let it out softly.

"Shiyoko... why...why didn't you tell me any of this before?" He asked softly slight hurt in his voice. Shiyoko frowned and looked down playing with her fingers.

"I'm sorry... I... I was afraid to..." Hearing her answer confused Minato.

"Afraid? Why were you afraid?"

"I was afraid of losing my only friend... I didn't want you to hate me..." Shiyoko said mumbling the last part softly.

Minato sighed a smile forming on his face. He pulled Shiyoko into his arms hugging her softly.

"I would never leave you...you're my first friend too. Besides I could never hate you!"

Hearing Minato's words brought tears to Shiyoko's eyes and she sniffed crying slightly as she buried her face in his chest. Katashi stared at them hugging for a few seconds before he got up to leave. He felt as if he didn't belong there, but before he could walk away he was stopped.

"Where are you going?" Minato asked.

"Back to class. Break's almost over." He answered blankly then continued walking.

"Hey! Don't walk away from us Bakashi!"

This made him stop and Katashi turned to yell at Minato for calling him names when he stopped confused by the look Minato was giving him.

"Shiyoko just told you her secret. That means she trusts you. So if she trusts you I will too! And you know what that means?" Katashi shook his head no. "It means that as her friends and as her senpais we have to show her that it's okay to be normal and that we're here to protect her!" Minato stated smiling proudly.

"Ah... but you're not normal... " Katashi stated. Minato grew irked marks on his head as he growled loudly and stomped his feet.

"Ah shut up Bakashi!!"

"...It's true though."

"I know that!!"

"...So you admit to being a weirdo, huh?" Katashi smirked one eyebrow raise as his head was titled to the side.

"Why you..." Minato growled going into a stance as if he was was about to tackle Katashi.

Just as he was about to launch himself at the smirking blonde a giggle stopped Minato in his tracks. Both boys looked behind Minato to see Shiyoko giggling at them, her tears long forgotten. Seeing her smile made the boys blush, Katashi more than Minato but both of them turned their faces away from her.
