Chapter 2: Awkward Beginnings

It was a lovley Friday afternoon, the last class of the day. Today was the day you decided it was time to talk to them for the first time. You spent the day second guessing and were so ready to just not. As soon as the bell rang, you some how got up and made your way to the back of the classroom where their desks were. Both of them were at Hikaru's desk, getting ready to go home. It was like your legs had a brain of their own.
You were taken back for a moment then spoke, "Hi....?"

"God, could you be anymore awkward." You thought to yourself.

"Oh look, she speaks." The twins said in unison. Of course they knew who you were. You were in the same class and sat in front.
All you did was gulp because you were nervous.
"What do want?" said Kaoru in a sassy tone.
You hesitated a bit before you said, "I want to be... friends."

Kaoru and Hikaru glanced at each other. "Alright. Let's play the 'Which ones Hikaru' game." They said.
Hikaru continued, " If you can guess which one is Hikaru..."
"...then we'll give you a chance." Kaoru finished.
"You have til the end of school, Monday." They said once again in unison.

You just nodded and they walked out of the classroom leaving you by yourself.

Later, when you got home, you just plopped down on your bed. You were a bit irritated with yourself. You could have guessed who was who, right there and then! You were just so nervous. Instead on focusing on how they sounded, you focused on what they said more. The nerves you had just made you want to finish the conversation quick. You knew their game. Everyone got it wrong.

So you had to get it right to prove yourself!
