"Well, you seem happy."

Avery's grandmother said as she prepared a delicious meal for herself and Avery.

"I'm ecstatic; I just haven't felt this joyful before."

"Is it that boy that's the cause of your giddy ness ?"

"Yes, grandmother. He makes me so happy."

"Are you officially a couple now?"

"No, not yet. I hope we can be a couple soon," Avery said as she got up to help her grandmother arrange the table.

"Well, I forbid you from being a couple." Her grandmother turned all of a sudden, a stern expression adorning her face.

Avery's eyes widened, "What why?" She said, turning to face her grandmother.

Her grandmother rolled her eyes and said, "you want to be with him, and yet your little old grandmother hasn't seen him."

Avery sighed with relief, turning back to the table to arrange it. "Well, you are always busy. I don't know how to arrange for the two of you to meet."

"Well don't you know where he lives, you could always send him mail,"

"Oh silly me, I was so caught up in the moment that I never bothered to ask. Surely the next time he arrives, I'll most definitely ask."

"You better ask him, my child, for all we know he could be a serial killer."

Avery was silent for some time, as a memory from her past flashed before her eyes. She was always too trusting. She hoped this time it wouldn't come back to bite her in the ass. Her grandmother noticed her silence and raced forth to hug her.

She had always been there for Avery, helping her fight her battles and picking up her broken pieces. She needed to meet this man, and talk with him. She needed to see if the man was willing to fight when the time came.

"Oh my dear, you know I'll always be there for you. I will not allow anyone to hurt you ever again," her grandmother said as she kissed her on the forehead. "You never told me his name by the way."

"He is called Darrius." Her grandmother frowned, she had heard that name before, but she couldn't remember.

"Does he have a second name?"

Avery was silent once again. "You didn't ask for a second name!"

"I'm so sorry grandmother. I'll rectify the situation when I see him the next time."

Her grandmother sighed, completely forgetting about the conversation they were having. She turned off the stove and brought the pan filled with chicken and potatoes to the table.

"Oh grandmother, how I dearly missed your cooking."

"Well don't worry, the bosses at my job gave me three days off, and I plan on fattening you up, for these next days."

*•••••••••*

Derrick searched through every record in the kingdom looking for an Avery, but all was in vain. He even asked Reginald for help, but nothing came up. It was also quite strange that no one in kingdom was called Avery, he thought, there must be at least an Avery somewhere.

He continued to search through the records until he could come up with something. He turned to Reginald and asked, "are you sure these are the only records that you have?"

"I'm very sure Derrick, these are the records of everyone in this kingdom."

"It just can not be!" He whispered to himself.
