"Run you, idiots, don't let that bastard get away." Prince Daniel Coldante shouted to his men as they rode into the forest in search of the escaped prisoner.

"Leave no stone unturned; we have to find him!" He continued to shout at them.

"Sir, I think we will have better luck if we search in the morning." Derrick, his most trusted guard said, his face holding a warily look in fear of what his boss would do.

"Continue to search! We shall not leave this place until we find him." Prince Daniel continued to say despite spotting the tired looks on their faces.

"We will split up, that way we can cover more ground." He said, "I repeat once again, we will not leave until we have caught him. After all, he escaped under your watch."

The men grumbled but none the less complied with Prince Daniel. The knights went in groups of two carrying their torches while Daniel decided to survey by himself. He had been training with his father since he started walking; his fighting skills, war tactics and persuasion methods were some of his best traits.

He was cold, arrogant, stubborn, although he only showed his happiness when he was around his little sister Anita. Anita had left to pursue higher education in the upstate, Daniel was not happy with her being far, but for her, he would do anything.

His father was currently fighting for his life after he was hit and shot during the war. He was at war with their biggest rivals; The Smiths. As revenge, Prince Daniel kidnapped the son of the Smith's and placed him in the filthy prisons. The Smiths announced the kidnap of their son and offered a huge ransom in return.

No one had known what the prince had done except Derrick. Derrick had tried to convince Prince Daniel to set him free, but he wasn't willing to listen. He was set to avenge his father, but all his plans came to a halt when he realised his prisoner had escaped the cell. How? He didn't know. He could only assume that he had a snitch leaving among them.

He was mad, furious not to mention slightly frustrated by the fact that he didn't know where to start looking. He continued to move around until he came to a stop. There before him was a tree, but besides the tree, there lay the most beautiful bow and set of arrows he had ever laid eyes upon. He inspected them as the moonlight shined upon them. He couldn't help but wonder who owned this beautiful set of archery. He picked it up and begun examining it, but his inspection was cut short when he had heard a rustling in the nearby bushes.

His breathing hitched, as his hands went for his sword, ready to face his opponent. A few minutes later, the rustling stopped, and Daniel let go of the breath he didn't know he was holding.

The rustling started once again, but this time, Daniel pulled out his sword and said, "show yourself, you coward."

He continued to look around, his stance firm and ready to aim for his attacker in case he did something that was out of line.

Instead, he was met by something else or rather someone else.
Curly Ebony Hair, Green eyes that had a gold ring around the iris, freckles that grazed her cheeks, plump pink lips and a slim slender body wrapped in linen fabric was what he saw.
