our love?
it's like a power switch,
or a water tap,
and it's one that you can turn
on
and
off.the light from the switch -
it's bright and strong,
golden and warm,
and i bask in it's light
even if it's artificial
and just another bright,
glowing lamp
that was sure to fizzle out,
but it was the light in my life.i was sure i'd keep it on.
and then it goes out.
just one day,
it turns off suddenly
and i look to the switch,
the flip,
the button,
and i see your fingers,
your hand,
and your love.it has turned off the light,
and i'm stuck
in the darkness.
