Years seem to pass as we sit in silence. The Warden drums her fingers on her desk as she looks me over. A young man with a monkey's tail stands not to far from my right. He looks nervous and fearful. Not that I can blame him. He is standing in a room with a Warden who could strike you dead with a single glare and an inmate who was charged with man slaughter. He would be quite foolish not to be on edge.

"Okay. Are we just going to be having a staring contest till my sentence is up or something?" I grumble to myself and look around the room.

"You didn't kill that man did you." The Warden states and let's out a small sigh.

"No."

"Then why did you tell us that you did?" The monkey asks.

"I never said that I killed anyone. I only told you what I was charged with."

"I see." The Warden closes her eyes and frowns. "Supervisor Gokuu." The monkey stiffens up and fear is pouring off of him.

"Yes ma'am?"

"You may return to your building."

"Yes ma'am." The monkey turns and walks out if the room at a slightly faster pace than when we were coming here.

"So he's scared of you. That makes it pretty much everyone." I shrug and turn to look at her.

"What?"

"Everyone seems afraid of you. Or afraid of what you can do."

"And you're not?"

"I have no reason to be. You may seem to have a cold exterior but I know that you can be rather kind."

"Is that so?" She narrows her gaze and I can feel her eyes burning into me.

"I also know that you seem to have feelings for... What was his name... The supervisor of the building I'm being put into. That guy with the scar."

"I don't know what your talking about." She mumbles to herself as her face turns red and she starts to slightly shake.

"And that has proven my assumption."

"Huh?!"

"Your face turned red, your body started to shake, and you lowered your guard."

"That could mean a number of things!"

"True. But it's not."

"How did you know?" She sighs in defeat and lays her head on her desk.

"You're not the only girl to have ever been in love. Trust me. I know exactly what your going through." I roll my eyes and relax in my seat.

"Let's just get back to the task at hand." She mumbles and lifts her head.

"Okay. So am I just going to be staying here until I'm proven innocent or I've served out my sentence?"

"Yes. But you are the first female to have ever been placed here. And to be honest I'm not too sure how to go about this."

"Treat me like any other inmate. That would be the easiest."

"I suppose. But what should happen if something happens to you?"

"I'm a grown woman Warden. I can handle myself." I smile at her reassuringly.

"How old are you exactly?"

"I'm 23."

"I see. Well you are going to be placed in cell with a group of teenagers. I'm not too sure how that will work out."

"It should be fine. If nothing I can handle being around a few kids."

"I wish you luck number 96."
