His Eyes

" L-Lord Calix?" Celeste stammered with wide eyes as if her eyes have betrayed her.

" People do know me afterall "
The Lord chuckled to himself as Celeste was still in daze of seeing him after long time.

The coachman however shaked his head with disappointment.

" What a beautiful lady like yourself doing? " He repeated his question as Celeste snapped out of her daze . " I am waiting for a lift My Lord" She replied softly.

His gaze averted to the carriage as the coachmen bowed respectfully to the Lord.
" Why don't you come with me?" The Lord asked with his hand outstretched as Celeste was startled. She was hesitant of accepting the offer but it's not like she had a choice so she took his hand.

Butterflies erupted in her stomach as a gasp felt her plump pink lips which she quickly masked with a smile.

The carriage was very spacious and luxurious with wide double - glazed windows. The carriage which was sent to receive her was nothing compared to this.
Celeste sat on the opposite side of the Lord as she fiddled with her fingers. The Lord however leaned against the window with his hand supporting his chin as he was thinking something

" What 's your name darling?"
Calix asked her waiting for her response. " Celeste." She murmured softly.

The Lord just nodded his head as he went back to his thinking. Celeste took this as a chance and studied his features.

His coal black hair was slicked back with jel. His nose, sharp and pointed which casted a shadow on his thin lips. His jaw was set in a straight line confining the lines of his mischievous eyes.

Soon his aluminum grey eyes averted towards her as a sly smirk played on his lips.
" Do I impress you with my looks darling? " He asked her coyly.

Her face flushed as she gazed out of the carriage to avoid his heated stare. Not a word passed between them after that. The scenery changed from lush green forest to the pathway decorated with lightings.
