So me, Sofia, and Lethe came up with a vampire AU where Aleks is a highschool student and Kevin is a vampire who is totally and completely in love with Aleks. We had one part where we made Kevin think Aleks died and he basically went batshit on the rival vampires who 'killed' him, so this is the alternate version of that.
Kevin comes to a stop, not paying attention to the various graves around him. Theres only one that he cares about. He kneels down in front of it, setting down the ornate wooden box he carried as he reads the inscription on the headstone.

He doesn't bother reading the rest, he doesn' t need to. He has the words memorized at this point, he could recite them in his sleep. He was the one who wrote them, after all. "Aleks, i know you can hear me. I have something for you. I did it, i avenged you. I killed the first one tonight. Now they cant hurt anyone else, like you would have wanted."
Kevin takes the wooden box, opening it and looking at the human heart thats placed inside. He closes the box once more before he sets it directly on top of the grave, in front of the gravestone. "I'm going to go after the second one tonight. I'm doing this for you, because i love you. No matter what, even with you gone, i will always think of you. I will always love you."
Tears are forming in his eyes by now. He isn't prepared for this, he meant to just leave the box and leave, but he can't. He cant do that to his dear Aleksandr. So he sits there for a little while, silent. It isn't awkward though, he isn't searching for words to say or trying to find something to do, its a calm silence, peaceful.
Eventually he gets up and turns to leave, giving one last glance to the box containing the heart before he starts walking, back to his car. As he walks he swears he feels a hand on his shoulder, causing him to smile.
"I love you too."
