Jae's point of view~

They're disappearing...all of them. All of Talie is gone.

Comet Tiamat, with an orbital period of 1,200 years, 'Busan, the Town the Vanished' made a close approach to Earth three years ago in October. Nobody predicted that its nucleus would split at its perigee. 'Meteor Strikes, Wipes out Town' 'Town Annihilated' 'Over 500 dead or missing.' 'Busan, the Town that Vanished.'

"A fragment of the comet became a meteor that struck Korea." Brian said to me as I skimmed the books.

I went online and searched it up. It was the day of the autumn festival.

"The point of impact was here." I said and pointed at the map.

At 8:42 pm, it struck where the people were gathered for the festival.

"Jae I found a book of the list of the victims." Jamie said and handed the book to me.

Over 500 people died, a third of the town's population, and now nobody lives in Busan anymore.

I was looking at the names of the people who died. I found Kousei, Koari, Tsubaki, and Watari. I gasped.

Talie Baek

"That's her?" Jamie asked me.

"It has to be a mistake. That person died three years ago." Brian said.

"Just two, three weeks ago, she said to me that the comet would be visible. Soo..." I looked up in the mirror in front of me.

You're dreaming now...

I...

Aren't you?

I...

"What did I...?" I said to myself.

Jamie's point of view~

I sat downstairs in the lobby of the hotel we are staying in. I grabbed a cigarette and lit it up. I looked and saw Brian.

"Lively up there." I said to him.

"I'm sorry we could only get one room." He said to me.

"No problem." I said and blew out the smoke.

"How's Jae?" I asked Brian

"He's still reading articles on Busan. Newspapers and magazines at the time at random it seems." Brian said as he sat down drinking his Americano.

"What?" I asked him looking up from my phone screen.

"Nothing. I just didn't know you smoked." He told me.

"Oh right. I was going to quit recently." I said and smoked it again.

"What do you think about Jae's story?" Brian asked me.

"I liked him. The way he was recent. He was always a nice guy, but even more so lately. Like he was trying so hard. It was cute. But what he is saying just doesn't make sense at all. But I'm sure he met someone and that someone changed him. That for sure." I told Brian.

Jae's point of view~

I opened the diary app again to see if Talie's memos were there.

No Entries!

I leaned my head against the table and groaned. It was all just a dream. I recognized the scenery because I remember the news three years ago. If not that, then...a ghost? No...Was I fantasizing? Her name...what was it?
