CH. 11

As usual, I went inside my office to do my boring job. I spotted Taehyung who again arranging my forms, he noticed me and greeted me a good morning with his signature box smile but it didn't affect me at all, instead I walked passed him without saying a single word. I sat on my chair and do my work routine.

The room was dead silent, until he speak up out of the blue...

"Go on a date with me"

My eyes widen and clearly choked up on air. I stopped my actions and faced him with a what-the-hell-did-you-just-say-to-me look "what are you talking about?" I asked.

"A date. You and me. Tomorrow, since it's a holiday maybe we could hang out. How about at 9, at the Wood Garden Park" he said fidgeting his fingers looking elsewhere "look I know it's sounds sudden but---"

"I'm not going" I coldly told him getting back to my position earlier.

"Why not?"

"Look, I don't have time for arguments right now. I said no that's it" he kept quiet for a while, I thought it ended there but it didn't.

"Then I'll wait for you"

I don't know why but I got this uneasy feeling going around my body. Sighing, I went out to be alone for a bit. The washroom was sometimes my escape from my uncomfortableness towards things that I can't handle. I looked at myself on the mirror and think "that kid is hella annoying. God, when will this end"

Suddenly, one of the toilet stall door opened making me startled a bit.

"Oops, sorry" she apologized.

"It's ok"

I could feel she went towards beside me and was redoing her make up on the mirror. I went back to my face on the mirror again, I noticed my lips where a little bit chapped then I forgot to bring my lip balm all the way here. I facepalmed myself for being forgetful, stop. being. so. forgetful. Jihun. or. I. will. kill. you. next. time. ok?. ok.

"You ok?" the girl beside me asked and I quickly nodded. She scanned my face detail by detail and suddenly opened her mouth with a shocking expression "woah, you're Lee Jihun?"

I was weirdly confused.

"Yeah?"

"You're Kim Taehyung's boss? Wah, you're so lucky!" her eyes where full of happiness and excitement. Dude, if only you'd know that I'm dying to get out of this hellhole going on with him "everyone's talking about him in the whole building, and also you" wow, so they're backstabbing me now.

"What about?"

"Duh, Taehyung is freaking hot!" gurl, did you just 'duh' me? Of course I know he's hot, why would I be his past girlfriend if I didn't know that " and also Taehyung is a nice person. Sometimes, when you're not around or busy working in your office he helps other employees with their tasks making them falling for his knees more, even boys"

I was speechless on hearing those stuff about Taehyung, I mean he is nice but I didn't know he would do that when it's not his business or whatever.

"So, what are they talking about me?"

"On how lucky you are, that's all. They'll do anything to be in your position" oh please, that's what I'm praying for... but I'll lost my job, money, food and eventually die so still I can't do that since it's really hard for me to get a job, being an introvert that's why "so, basically almost all of the girls in this building are in love with Taehyung?"

"Are you not?"

"Hell no!" she just laughed at my reaction.

"Well, I also like him though. But can you do me a favor?"

"What?"

"Can I have his phone number? I mean, you are his boss, what kind of a boss that doesn't have his assistant's phone number?"

Me, of course.

"I-I left my phone in my office" I told her and she got disappointed.

"Fine. Maybe next time then, hope you'll bring your phone! I gotta go also, bye!"

The day went by fast, the moon showed up above the city, and so was the stars. I sat on an empty bench head up looking at the sky, this is how I relax. My mind suddenly got disturbed by Taehyung's words earlier.

"Go on a date with me"

"9, Wood Garden Park"

"Then I'll wait for you"

"AISH! Stop it your dumb brain!" I put both of my hands on the sides of my head while kicking my feet like an idiot "I'm not going... and he knows that, why wait for me there, he's such a dumbutt"

My phone started ringing, I quickly pick it up when I saw the caller ID and answered the call.
