CH. 16

"Bring these to Mrs. Shin" I ordered my assistant handing out pieces of papers to him while my eyes were on my laptop screen not daring to look at his face, I still didn't forgive him for lying that he was still sick. My hands were still heavy from the papers, I wobbled the papers signaling for him to get these out from my hand but he still didn't obeyed instead he was still standing in his position not knowing what he has on his mind, probably full of bullshit he's gonna do to me.

"Hey!" I called tilting my head seeing him with a blank face, I realized that he was staring at me the whole time "I told you to bring these to her! Why aren't you listening?"

He looked elsewhere before a long sigh escaped from his mouth. He was about to speak but my phone suddenly rang.

'Sarangheul hettda uriga mana~~~'

I wasn't looking at the caller ID because my mind is all about how Taehyung deserves to be fired right here and now, I answered the call and waited for the caller to response.

"Jihun?" The voice was easy to recognize, a smile formed on my lips. My heart was beating faster when he said my name, what the hell? My mind was not in process, I was still smiling like an idiot while placing my elbow on my desk and my chin on my palm "Hello? Jihun?" I snapped out of my thoughts when he called again.

"Yes, Jimin?"

TAEHYUNG's POV

"Yes, Jimin?" Jihun said through the line, she kinda feels happy for Jimin calling her. Though, she was all angry on me but she managed her emotions on talking to Jimin.

Me on the other hand, all I can do at this point was to watch her call him until they're done. I felt hurt seeing the two of them together but at the same time happy because all I wanted for Jihun was to be happy, I know that being her assistant will make her unhappy and annoyed... but the truth is...

I just really miss her.

I miss being with Jihun. I miss talking to her. I miss doing fun stuff with her, going crazy and laugh together. I miss holding hands with her, the soft hands she has... I miss it all. The hugs we shared, her scent... all of it. But what I missed the most...

was her smile.

The beautiful smile she wore right now made my day. It's been so long since I last saw her smile like that. It was innocent and true, she's so beautiful when she smiles like that. How I wish that smile was because of me, but it wasn't.

[FLASHBACK]

"Jihun, don't eat too fast" I told her. We were at a Chinese restaurant, my favorite restaurant in the world, PANDA EXPRESS! I was glad Jihun also love Panda Express, like we were really destined for each other.

She was eating too fast since she didn't get to eat breakfast earlier because she was almost late for school so in that case I treated her lunch. She loves free food though, it's more special for her than she buys food for herself. Her face looks like a chipmunk with nuts inside it's mouth, a beautiful chipmunk actually. I couldn't help but stare at her all day.

I love her.

After she was finished, I wiped some stains on her cheeks with a tissue napkin "Taehyung-ah! Thank you! I wuv yoouuu, you're the best!" she said showing her eye smile. I pinched her cheeks for being too cute in this world "Jihunnniieeee, I wuv you toooo" I said in aegyo.

"stop it or I'll beat you up" she told me harshly while shooting me a glare, dang this girl changes mood fast. I quickly let go and rested both of my arms on the table.

We were quiet for a while until she suddenly speak up "Ah! I know!" She tilted her body to get something from her bag behind her. She grabbed two small pieces of paper and a pen. The paper was colored mint and so as her pen.

"You see these papers, these are my special paper, they're scented and limited edition in a store, it is also my favorite color which is really hard to find. These two are the only ones that are left... so I need you to do something" she slid the paper to my direction "if ever we'll break up, let's write something for each other"

"What? That's stupid, we'll never do that" I said.

"No no, hear me out. Let's write a important message for each other, like you'll write me something and same thing for me to you. We will switch papers and will not open it until something happened and we broke up. It's weird and kinda interesting for me though but it doesn't mean I want to break up with you, I love you and you know that. It's just for fun. So, are you in?"

"You know that I don't deny to anything that makes you happy" I could see her eyes lit up and began writing. I waited for her turn to let me borrow her pen. After writing, we both switch our papers and kept it somewhere safe with ourselves.

"You won't leave me, right?" she asked out of the blue.

"I won't"

And that is when I told her the biggest lie in my life.

I turned away from Jihun who was still busy on the phone. She was now facing my back. I secretly took off my phone case from my phone and found a mint piece of paper inside. The scent was already gone and the color faded a little. It was my first time opening this, I didn't want to open the paper years ago but today... I just feel like it. I unfold paper and saw her old writing.

"I'll miss you. It hurts but I'll miss you"
