CH. 18

The door suddenly swung open revealing, of course none other than Kim freaking Taehyung. I was surprised when he came late rather than the usual time he arrives "sorry for being late" he said taking off his wet coat. He was a little bit soaked, guess it's raining outside. His hair was a bit wet from the rain also. I nodded and went back on fixing my papers since Mr. Jongin gave me another task but it wasn't really that hard to work on so I finished it within 20 minutes. After that, I stood up ready to give my papers to my boss.

"I'll give it to him" Taehyung insisted almost snatching the papers out from my hands but I pulled it away "it's fine, I'll give it to him myself" then I head out to Mr. Jongin's office.

"Here are the papers, Mr. Jongin" I said handing him the tasked papers "Thanks Jihun" he said accepting them and placed it on his wooden desk "Jihun, you've been really working hard through the years, and I know you deserve something" my eyes lit up and I could feel the excitement inside me "what will it be, Mr. Jongin?" "You'll be given twice the money for your month's salary, basically it's times two of your salary. And three day-off days, any day you want, for this month only though"

I began screaming and jumping like crazy, I quickly shook both of his hands repeatedly "thank you very much. I appreciate it a lot!"

"No problem, as long as you keep it up there's more surprises" he told me while smiling.

I walked across the hallway to get to my office, the big smile I have earlier haven't faded yet. Once I entered my office I could feel the freedom, woo I have three day-offs oh yeah. I sat on my comfy chair and stretched before letting out a long sigh, still smiling brightly. I could feel some eyes watching me making me feel uneasy. Taehyung was staring at my actions the whole time, he didn't know what is going on right now.

"Why are you happy all of the sudden?" he asked.

"Don't talk, it'll ruin the mood" I harshly said. He became silent afterwards and silence filled the room. We could only hear the sound of the rain from outside. The silence broke off when we both heard a ringtone.

'Bogo shipda ireoke malhanikka deo bogo shipda~~~'

I saw Taehyung quickly searched for his phone in his pockets, after he did he snatched his phone and answered the call "hello?... yeah?... oh don't worry about it, I'll take care of it... yeah yeah sure... ok...bye" he ended the short call and I finally open my mouth to talk "so you missed someone?"

"What?" he asked confusedly.

"It must be your girlfriend from Beijing, she called you right?"

Back when we were in college, me and Taehyung's ringtone were based in real life current situations, we made a promise about that though and I'm pretty sure he didn't break that promise, I even still do it. That's why my ringtone had been always the song 'Love Scenario', it's been really relatable for me.

"Jihun, what are you talking about? And what do you mean about Beijing?" he looks so nervous, I knew it... he is hiding something from me.

"You went to Beijing after that incident" I began to stand and faced him.

"How did you know?" he thought for a while, figuring out how I'd know about it "Is it Jungkook? Did you and Jungkook meet? When? Why?" he took steps forward towards me.

"Ya, it's none of your business" I told him.

He suddenly grabbed my shoulders tightly while showing his fierce eyes "Tell me! What did he tell you?!" he yelled making me flinch. Our faces were inches apart, I could feel my heart beating faster and at the same time I was a little scared at him right now.

"It's wasn't all importa---"

"I SAID TELL ME!"

"FINE! Me and Jungkook accidentally met in a restaurant yesterday after that we chat for a while. Jungkook told me you went to Beijing. I asked him why you were there but he doesn't know. Jimin and Jungkook were classmates and close friends but he didn't want to tell you. There! I said it!"

"Nothing else?" I shook my head in response. He sighed and let go of my shoulders, I admit it hurts pretty bad... he squeezed my shoulders very hard. He covered his face with his hands and then ran his fingers through his hair, he let out another sigh and sat down.

"Jihun..."

"What?"

"Don't scare me like that next time"
