Bella's P.O.V.
"Where are we going?"I asked. I was scared and nervous.
"Shh. You're gonna get us caught!"He said again.
I couldn't see anything but I knew we left the room and entered another.
We heard a bang coming from the left side of the room.
He quickly covered my mouth and pulled me back.
"Don't make a sound."He whispered oh so quietly in my ear.
I nodded my head and he let me go.
I pulled him back before he could walk away.
"Where are you going?"I whispered.
"I'll be back."He said.
"Please don't go."I said.
"I'll be back I promise."He said and I let him go.
I didn't make a sound. I tried my hardest to keep my breathing at a normal pace. I didn't move. I just wondered where we are and why there are 10 of us.
"Come."He said.
He grabbed my hand and we walked off entering another room.
"Please. Please help us."I heard a girl say.
I gasp and he covered my mouth.
"C'mon keep going."He said.
"We have to help them."I said breathing heavily.
"Let's go."He said.
"No."I said and kneeled down to help the girl.
There was more than one person. The other 8 were here.
I untied there hands and he helped.
"Thank you so much."She said.
He helped me untie all of them. I knew they were kids my age.
"Now we keep moving."He said. His face was serious.
We walked out of the room and there was a phone on the wall that rang. I picked up.
"Hello?"I said nervously.
"You found him and got the rest. Now move."
"There will be a note on the the mirror."
"Then what?"I asked and he hanged up.
"What?What did they say?"He asked.
"He said keep going." I said.
He grabbed my hand and we walked to the next room.
"Then what did he say?"He asked.
"There is a note on the mirror."I said and pointed to the mirror.
He opened it and it said.
They not know you're here. You must continue the steps listed below. They know you've left your room but not know as to where you are. The lights will be cut off in 30 minutes and they shall search for you. If you are to be found you will be executed.
"We only have 30 minutes. Let's go."He said and grabbed my arm before I could read the steps.
"Don't talk just follow me."He said.
Everybody followed behind.
"How do you know where we're going?"I asked.
He didn't answer.
We walked into a room called ZBA. He walked up to a box that was sitting on the ground. He pulled out a key. In the room was a small little door.
"You."He said pointing to me.
"What?"I asked nervously.
"You're going in there."He said.
"No!Why me?"I said. I was too scared to go alone.
"Cause you're small enough to fit in there."He said.
"Please no."I said.
"You can do this. Go."He said while cupping my face.
I nodded and went inside the small door. It was dark and long. I crawled until I found a box.
"Do you see a box?"He said.
"Yea."I said.
"Open it. Get the key."He said.
I got the key and crawled out.
"Here."I said and gave him the key. I was shaking horribly.
"C'mon."He said and grabbed my hand.
We all walked out of the room. As we were walking down the hall somebody had appeared and grabbed one of the girls.
"Shit!"He yelled out.
"C'mon let's go!"He said and everyone ran behind him.
We turned in every direction making sure we lost whoever that was.
We entered a room and he closed the door locking it.
I was way more terrified than I was before. I knew the 30 minutes had passed.
"Oh my god."I said on the verge if tears.
"What?"He said panting, out of breath.
"They're gonna kill her."I said.
"What?"Somebody said.
"The note. It said whoever is caught is gonna get killed."I said.
I sat down in the corner and tried to regain my breath. I started crying just having the thought of what they could possibly be doing to her.
I heard somebody walk up to me and sit next to me.
It was him.
"Hey. Don't cry."He said.
"Everything is going to be alright."He said.
"No. No its not."I said.
"I just want to go home."I said.
"I promise you will."He said.
"No you can't promise that. What if I get caught next."I said lifting my head from my knees and looked at him.
"Yes I can. I promise I will protect you from whatever happens next. I promise you, you will go home."He said.
"You really promise?"I asked desperately.
"I promise."He said.
"We should stay in this room for the night."A boy said approaching us.
"Why?"He asked.
"Half of them fell asleep already and this room is secure enough for us to stay in for the night. We can take shifts. Somebody can stay awake for an hour as a look out."The boy said.
"Ok. I'll stay up you get some rest. You're next."He said.
The boy nodded and walked away.
He put his arm around me and rocked me back and forth. It calmed me down. I guess my fear radiated off me. I didn't want to go to sleep because I was to scared but he made me feel safe.
