Caleb's P.O.V.

I am missing Aubree. I didn't know how much I would miss her constant annoyingness, but it's a lot. I've tried to call Mason and the guys but I never got an answer. I wonder why. I've also tried to call Aubree but she didn't take her phone with her. Her phone was ringing upstairs on the floor in the corner. Damn you, Aubree. The one time I want you to have your phone, you don't.

Our mom hasn't been home for at least a month now and Aubree's been gone for about that same time now too.

I really miss my sister... Wait, what did I just say? I did not just say that... Did I? Jesus, I'm going insane.

Zeek and John haven't came back for a while. I curled up into a ball on the bed and searched my mind for a song to sing. "Travelin' Soldier" by The Dixie Chicks popped into my mind.

Two days past eighteen

He was waiting for the bus in his army green

Sat down at a booth

At a cafe there

Gave his order to a girl with a bow in her hair

He's a little shy so she gave him a smile and he said 'would you mind sitting down for a while and talking to me?

I'm feeling a little low'

She said 'I'm off in an hour and I know where we can go'

So they went down and they sat on the pier

He said 'I betcha got a boyfriend but I don't care

I got no one to send a letter to

Would you mind if I sent one back here to you?'

I cried never gonna hold the hand of another guy

Too young for him they told her

Waiting for the love of a Travelin' Soldier

Our love will never end

Waiting for the soldier to come back again.

As we made our way with as little light as possible, we started to hear voices. Two people were talking, having a conversation up ahead and around the corner. "Who is that?" Jordan asked. I rolled my eyes. "The Easter Bunny, diphead." He glared at me. "Don't be sarcastic with me." "Don't be stupid with me," I retorted. "Guys, shut the hell up!"

I sneaked closer, getting as close to the doorway as I dared to.

"So?"

"Come on. I don't want to deal with that."

"Why not? I promise you, by the time you come to get her, she'll be trained. She won't snap or anything. I promise."

"Who is talking?" Jordan asked. I turned around and put a finger to my lips. "If I knew I wouldn't be standing here. Now shut up," I said turning back around, but I already missed what he person had said.
