Her Silent Screams

Prologue

" Who is she? "

" It's more like, what is she? "

Laughters followed.

" Look at the way she dressed. It's like coming from her great grandmother's grave. "

Long sigh.

"Why are they bothered anyway? It's like it can harm them? "

" Hey,geek! Watch out! "

Long laughters.

" Tss! Bullying is the trend here? Tsk! Tsk! I never thought prestigious elite school in this country sucks! "

" Uh-oh! I guess I never missed. "

Laughters again.

" Seriously? How come students here have no manners? Prestigious elite school huh? This school sucks, maybe the owner too? "

Nagpanting ang tenga ko sa narinig. Hindi dahil sa pambubully na naman ng grupo ni Minette ngunit dahil sa sinabi ng isang boses na iyon. How she dared say those words intended for me?!

Sucks? Tss! Maybe she really do deserve to get bullied.

But come to think of it, hindi ko man lang narinig na sumagot siya sa isa man kina Minette. What I heard were all just coming from her thoughts.

" Tss! Mga walang magawa. Zombies must have eaten their brains. "

Narinig ko na naman ang takbo ng isip niya. She sounded pissed, but I don't know how she handles her temper. I can tell that she's left alone from where she was bullied. And basing from the distance of her thoughts, I concluded that she's in the Engineering Building hallway. Don rin naman ang punta ko kaya bumaba na rin ako ng kotse. Thirty minutes had passed since I arrived ngunit mas pinili kong manatili sa loob ng kotse. It's heavily tinted kaya walang makakaalam kung may tao ba sa loob.

I walked silently at pinapakiramdam kung may iba pa bang tao maliban sa babaeng binully. I wanted to see her face and decide whether to punish her for insulting the school and the owner. But then, I realized that I could not blame her. Minnete is such a really pain in the ass. Hindi man tinotolerate ang pinaggagawa niya ngunit wala namang naglalakas loob na magsumbong dahil Mommy niya ang Dean. Aside from the fact that she really can pull strings, coming from the aids of her thug cousins.

Nakita kong nakaupo ang isang tao sa gilid ng wall. Her face down, her black hair covering her face. Nakakapagtakang hindi naman natanggal ang headphones na nakasalampak sa magkabilang tenga niya.

Napailing-iling na lang ako. Kaya pala hindi siya sumasagot dahil nakafull ang volume ng headphones niya. I should have known. Kaya pala parang may background akong naririnig. The songs that were playing were all heavy metallics. Buti at hindi pa siya nabibingi. Pero baka rin bingi na siya kaya hindi niya narinig ang mga insultong ibinato sa kanya.

I studied her for a minute. Her white long sleeve was tainted with something red and brown. And wears black pants and a pair of sneakers. She wears plain, and I could not understand why Minette is bullying her coz of her get up. Or maybe because of her looks.

" I guess this day is getting better, " narinig kong bulong ng isip niya.

Napakunot ang noo ko.

" What are you doing? Arguing to yourself if your gonna pity me? Or bully me even more? "

Nag-angat siya ng tingin at nakita ko ang buong mukha. I lost myself for a while. Nagtama ang mga mata namin and I do not know why I held my breath for seconds. I can see that she has beautiful pair of orbs under that big thick eyeglasses. Ngunit kahit gaano pa kakapal iyon ay hindi naman nito nagawang itago ang natural na ganda ng mga mata niya. I could not look away, as if I'm in a tranch.

" Hi!" simpleng bati niya. She gave me a sweet smile at napakurap ako.

' Shit! Nakulam ba ako? '

I gave her a bored look and remembered how she insulted the school in her mind earlier.

" You just made a mistake. And I intend to punish you, " I said, giving her a cold stare that I expect she'll shiver in fear. But to my dismay, the side of her upper lip tugged up. And I was like a burning dragon ready to breath out fire at her just by seeing her smirk that like.

" Wow! Ang binubully na pala ngayon ang pinaparusahan. Hanep ng school na 'to, "

Pinaningkitan ko siya ng mata. She may not say it out loud for me to hear, but her thoughts are telling it right at my face. That pisses me off, big time!

" Bring it on, .... Dragon boy! " saad niyang may ngisi na siyang nagpausok ng ilong ko.

I know I lost cool. I lost my temper. She's just a girl, about the height of my twelve year old sister, but I lost my mind. I dragged her out of the building, and because of my clouded mind, I couln't hear her thoughts anymore. Yet I could not also hear any complaints from her.

I put her in a dungeon at the basement of the school and left her there.

Just when I was about to enter the classroom when I realized what i did. I rushed back to the basement, only to find the padlocks open and the girl missing.
