Jennie's POV~Lisa was right about one thing- her wine selection was incredible. The Syrah she had picked out for dinner had paired perfectly with the steak and I had drank two full glasses before I realized it. She only smiled and flooded my glass again, and the smile made my heart skip a beat.
I was sure that she wanted me to get drunk to do... Whatever it was she wanted to do to me. But when I asked, she let me go back upstairs. Strange. She is so strange. The wine had made me so sleepy. I passed out before she came upstairs.
When I woke up next morning, she was nowhere to be seen. The room was dim; facing west, the sun's light wouldn't come in until the afternoon. Only a thin gray light illuminated the walls. And my hands were tied up to the bedposts with the same red ropes as before. My ankles were free though.
My pulse pounded. What had she done to me?
Look down frantically, I saw that I was dressed the same way I had been last night. My underwear is still on and from what I could tell, she had not touched me at all.
Why?
Although it should have made me feel better, this realization actually hot panic through my system. It was strange that she had gotten me drunk and then tied me up, and then done... Nothing. I did not know if I'd wanted her or not. But that she hadn't bothered to wake me up disturbed me for a reason I could not put my finger on.
"Lisa?"
I waited to make sure she wasn't just in the bathroom, but there was no response.
The bathroom. I have to go to the bathroom. As soon as I realized it, the urge to pee hit me even harder. I had drank way too much wine last night and if she isn't around to let me out, I am going to pee on the bed.
I yelled a little bit louder, to carry my voice downstairs. Surely, she wouldn't have left me tied up without letting me go to the bathroom.
"Lisa-ya!"
Nothing.
I twisted my body, curling my body close together. My feet could reach the knots if I stretch I bet. I can even escape if she is gone. Maybe she was gone. But where would she-
Oh shit.
My mind focused in an instant. Yesterday, the only thing stopping her from killing that man had been a trade. But today-
No, she wouldn't.
Of course she will, she is a killer for Christ sake.
"Lisa!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and my dry throat ached with the strain of shouting. I didn't care though. "Lisa-ya!"
I have to get out of here. Sure, I have to get to the bathroom, but more than that, I have to stop her from killing another man. If she was gone, she would be driving over to wherever she said she had found that next victim. As I thought about it, I realized that I wasn't scared for her next victim. I am scared for her.
Where had she gone? I racked my brain even as I twisted my body up, trying to get my feet to reach the knot. She had said a hundred miles away. That means I have time, if she have left not too long ago. But how could I know?
My toes touched the rope and I curled them around the top of the knot, and a shooting pain crossed my abs. I nearly cried out loud. Trying to keep myself from peeing was too much in this position.
But I cannot let her do it. I couldn't let her kill.
"LISA!" I screamed. My chest began to tighten.
