The celebrity lounge.
You didn't know the actual name, but it's a room with a bunch of celebrities waiting for the Oscars.
It was huge! Marbel walls, wood floors, a cozy fireplace, fancy chairs, a bar, food, and it was just a heaven taking a break from fans and paparazzi.
Yes, you loved your fans. But you couldn't even go to Burger King without someone yelling
"THATS Y/N!!!"
Why were you famous? Well you are a very talented actor.

When you entered the celebrity lounge, you didn't know anyone. Well you knew EVERYONE but not as a friend. You were trying to find your best friend, Ryan Reynolds.
You and Ryan became best friends on the set of Deadpool because you played Deadpool's lover, copycat.
Were there sex scenes that you had to do was awkward with your best friend? Maybe. Did you sorta enjoy it because you had a small crush on Ryan? Maybe.

What does Ryan think? He's practically OBSESSED with you. He always STARES at your selfies on Instagram. Not in a weird way, well sorta in a weird way. He has a MAJOR crush on you. He wants to ask you out but he's a complete chicken.

What does social media think? THEY LOVE YOU TWO! The magazines have been BLOWING UP with titles that say
"Are these two dating? Famous Ryan Reynolds and Y/N Y/L/N?!?"
"Will they ever date?!?"
"Has Y/N friend zoned him?!"

The truth was, you guys were IN LOVE with each other. Without even knowing it.

Onetime you were being interviewed at the San Francisco comic con and an interviewer asked if you guys were dating.
You simply shook your guys head and said "no, we are just best friends"

But that wasn't the right answer.

Anyway, that was then. This is now.
You decided to sit by the fireplace and scroll through Instagram. There was one last seat across from you.

~5 minutes pass~

Ryan enters the room and immediately spots you. He quickly sat down at the seat across from you and smiled, "hey stranger"

You glanced up from your phone to see him.
"Oh hey Ryan!" You giggled.
He laughed "I love it when you giggle"
You smiled.
"And when you smile" he smirks.
You didn't know what to say, was he flirting? Was he not?" Butterflies filled your stomach as you tried not to scream 'I LOVE YOU'

"So Y/n have you heard of the rumors?"

"Which ones?" You asked

"The ones where they said were dating" he asked sheepishly.

"Oh- I have. ALL of my fans are tweeting about it" you laughed.

Ryan nervously laughed. "Well... what if they were true?"

You were confused. At least Told your self to be confused.

"What if... I take you out to dinner. And we do start dating..." he continued.

"And what if... I do love you dearly." He said very shyly

You were shocked. You had no expression. What were you supposed to do? Kiss him? That's what you wanted to do.

"O-or not.." He was completely red.

"ALRIGHT FOLKS! THE OSCARS ARE BEGINNING! EVERYONE COME!" one of the workers yelled.

Ryan had a look of disappointment on his face. He stood up but before he could go anywhere you stood up also and grabbed his hand.
"Of course I would love to go to dinner with you."
You smiled.
"Well... I'm too lazy for that. Can we just be boyfriend and girlfriend because I love you so much?" He smirked.
You laughed and kissed his cheek.
"I'm taking that as a yes." He smiled.

So there you go. You and your best friend. Ryan Reynolds are dating. You went out to the oscars as boyfriend and girlfriend.
The whole time you couldn't even focus on the people winning and giving out their speeches.
You and Ryan were just making jokes and looking into each other's eyes like a bunch of dorks.
