Chapter 3: Arrival of Choice

It was the beginning of another summer, this was going to determine if Lance and Keith would join the kingdoms together and be married. Both Shiro and Allura were getting their brothers ready for the day of the arrival, however, as usual, they had to do their jobs the hard way.

"Lance, come on you need to get ready!" An annoyed Allura shouted while pushing her stubborn younger brother to his room where the servants were waiting to help him get ready.

"Allura, you know how much I hate Keith! He's stubborn!"

"I don't care! Now go get and dress!" Allura pushes him into the room and shuts the door as the servants help him change.

Once Lance was all dressed up he walks out of the room and Allura started to push him towards the open ballroom. Lance was clearly annoyed as he was being pushed by his older sister. Lance sighed as he thought to himself, "All their pushing and annoying hints."

As Lance was waiting, Keith was in the carriage with his older brother Shiro and he was looking rather elegant than usual. Keith had grown as much as Lance, but he was fair and beautiful as Snow White, however, he wasn't as kind as her that was certain. Keith was stubborn and Shiro had a hard time dealing with Keith being stubborn, especially now because he was going to see the person that he dislikes the most.

"Keith, I know you have your times with Lance but can you please be nice just for today." Shiro hasn't changed much really, other than the fact that he now has some white in his hair and has become more protective of his little brother.

"Shiro, he's so childish and immature, you know I can't stand him." Keith protested for he didn't want to see the man that has made fun of him for so long since the day they met.

Shiro sighed as the carriage came to a stop and Coran was already outside waiting for them. Since both Shiro and Coran wanted to get Keith inside to see Lance quickly they both grabbed Keith by the shoulders and carried him inside. Keith didn't like this because one, he could've walked by himself, and two, he didn't want to see Lance. In his mind, he said to himself "Great...I've got bruises with their fingerprints."

Both Keith and Lance were pushed into the same room on different ends not wanting to face each other until one or the other heard the door close from the other side of the ballroom. And as they both slowly turned to look at each other they had this weird feeling towards one another.

Keith saw Lance smiling, which made his knees started buckling. The butterflies in his stomach fluttered more as he kept looking at Lance smiling and then looked deeper inside his eyes and all his doubts of him were gone.

Lance gazed at Keith, captivated by the beauty that Keith grew up and had become. "He looks...so wonderful. He started as such an ugly duckling, and now he suddenly became a swan." Lance thought to himself as he walked closer to the center of the room and so did Keith and bowed to one another as they both were gazing at each other as they look stared deep the eyes of the other.

For the first time, they were so happy to be here because until now they never knew that the one they dreamed of loving was each other.

Behind one of the doors were Shiro and Allura were spying from one of the other doors in the room and saw the way how they were acting towards one another, no yelling, no name-calling, no fighting, nothing but just staring at each other. As they saw this happening, they knew that their idea worked.

"What a good idea! An idea we had with Lance and Keith, servants!" Allura said as she called for all of the servants as they started to bring stuff into the room and with the two boys in the center being confused yet impressed at the same time.

The ballroom lit up with lights, music was played by Coran, Coran the gorgeous man, aka the conductor, and everyone gathered around to see the princes dancing along happily to the music.

They both thought in their minds as they danced in the ballroom...this is my idea...

Of love...

However...things took a different turn when Lance tried to kiss Keith but Keith stopped him. Keith has a question on his mind.

"Why do you like me?"
