Castiel

Castiel woke up to birds chirping outside and sunlight tickling on his skin. He wanted to stretch, but then he saw Dean laying on his lap. He smiled as he saw the little smirk on Deans face, he must be dreaming. It was the first time Castiel really saw that Dean had freckles - a mosaic of freckles spreading all over his face. His hair was messy, he gently slid with his fingers through Deans hair and made sure Dean wouldn't wake up. He went through so much crap, he deserved a couple hours of sleep.

Dean

It felt strangely good to wake up to Castiels slight strokes through his hair. He didn't notice they fell asleep. What time was it?

"Hey Cas I'm going to the store, you ne-" Anna started but got shushed by Castiel.

"I don't need anything, thank you Anna" he whispered and stopped the strokes.

"Alright.. i um, see you later", Anna sounded confused. She left the house and Castiel sighed of relief. Dean felt a thumb on his cheek slightly stroking it, which gave Dean the chills. He decided to not longer pretend to be asleep and "woke up", by stretching a bit.

"Hey sleepyhead", Cas said calmly as Dean looked up to him, their eyes locked.

"Hey you", a smile escaped Deans lips.

"How're you feeling? You look messy" Castiel asked as he slid his fingers through the other ones hair once again.

"Never been better", which was true. It's been ages since felt so good and protected. They remained still for what seemed to be decades.

Dean broke their moment by asking "what time is it?"

"something around 9, i don't know - it's saturday. You got plans today?" Castiel removed his hand from Deans hair.

"got training at 12", he said as he rubbed his eyes. "want to come with me?"

"gotta work today" Castiel sighed.

"But there's this new movie, seems to be pretty funny - want to go tonight? Maybe we can grab some dinner before"

"Are you asking me out on a date, Novak?" Dean laughed. "What? - No! I just um - I, forget it" Castiel chuckled in shame.

"Shut it,  I'll pick you up at 7"

Dean

Dean came home from training and took a quick shower. He played better today, maybe because he got more sleep - but he wasn't focused at all. His mind was full of images of Castiel - especially from this morning. It was so intimate, so trusting - and definitely not straight at all. Which confused confused Dean. Did Cas like guys? Did Dean like guys? He had many girlfriends, which were all great - but he never even considered having feelings for a guy before. Until this morning. Dean needed to know what that meant.

After his shower he still had an hour left, so he decided to drive to the café Cas worked at and pick him up there. Besides, it was the same place Dean and Cas would always go after school to.

"Hey, welcome to the coffee bean, what can i get'cha?" Castiel asked, not looking up - too busy preparing other drink.

"I don't  know, what do you recommend?", Dean said and Castiel looked up to him.

"Dean! What're you doing here?"

"Wanted to pick you up" Dean said and leaned on the counter, arms crossed.

"Give me 5 minutes alright? My shift already ended, but i gotta finish these orders"

"Take your time, I won't run away"

Dean watched Castiel rushing some coffees, iced teas and some bagels to customers. He had his working clothes on, brown shirt, a green apron and a brown baseball cap.

A couple minutes later, Castiel walked up to Dean and said "can we stop at my place real quick? I need to change"

"Oh wait" Dean said as he stood up and took off his leather jacket and hoodie, now dressed in a white t shirt. "take my hoodie" he threw the hoodie to Cas.

Castiel put on the hoodie, which was a bit to big - but comfortable. "Thanks"

As Dean put on his leather jacket again, he led the way out of the café to the his black Impala.

"No, dude - salted popcorn is disgusting as hell!" Dean protested as they picked out their snacks for the movie. They already got licorice (which Dean loved but Cas hated), Nachos and now they were fighting over what type of popcorn they should get.

"C'mon, try it - I promise it'll be good!" Castiel begged. "You owe me one" Dean said as he bought the salted popcorn, Castiel smiling in triumph. They made their way to their seats, sat down and watched the advertises go on. There weren't many people here, so no tall people in front of them blocking the view. "I've never heard of a comedy-horror movie before. You sure this is going to be good?" Dean asked, making himself comfortable in his seat.

"I don't know, if it gets boring, we can just leave and go somewhere else. But for now, I'm happy with my salted popcorn", Castiel smiled as he shoved a hand full of popcorn into his mouth.

"Ahh wait, let me try"

"You're gonna love it" - "What will i get if i don't like it?" Dean teased.

"Whatever you like" Castiel rolled his eyes and Dean tried some of the popcorn. He made a disgusted face and cleared his throat.

"No way in hell you really like this kinda stuff!" Dean said kind of loud - people from behind shushing him. Cas laughed and said "Now, what do you want?"

"I'll take a rain check."
