Bellamy wins the challenge. To Clarke's surprise, his small amount of experience working at the town movie theatre when he was 14 has stuck with him.
"Ugggh, not fair" groans Clarke.
"Don't be a sore loser."
"I am not a sore loser" Clarke exclaims. Grabbing a pillow off the couch she begins whacking Bellamy with it, In the process, the neat pile of popcorn in Bellamy's dustpan scatters. Their eyes meet, and Clarke's mouth opens unsure of what to say. Bellamy smirks. Without warning a pillow is launched at Clarke, soon they are part of a full-fledged pillow fight. In the end blankets and pillows are strewn on the floor along with Bellamy and Clarke on their backs staring at the water-stained ceiling laughing. When they finally catch their breath, Clarke speaks.
"I miss this; I feel like we never just lay on the floor on popcorn kernels anymore. I kinda miss being in 8th grade and not having to deal with responsibilities."
" We used to lay on popcorn kernels often?"
"You know what I mean."
" Well I for one do not miss 8th grade, Voice cracks were not fun. And trust me, Clarke, you still act like your fourteen."
Clarke playfully nudges him. "So what should we do now? You did win."She says rolling her eyes.
"Hmmm..... I know, you draw me-"
"And you draw me." Says Clarke finishing his sentence for him.
"No way!"Declares Bellamy. Clarke pouts. "Fine."
"Okay, you first. Sit on the couch."
"I am fine here" challenges Bellmay striking a hand on his chin in imitating Abe Lincoln.
"No your not."
"Your real bossy, you know that princess?" Clarke glares at him.
"Fine, don't move." She gathers her pencil and paper and begins.
Bellamy wakes to Clarke's phone alarm beeping at 6:00 am. They are sprawled out on the floor of Clarke's finished basement. Clarke's head is resting on Bellamy's chest. The knitted blanket Clarkes Mom covered them with late at night hangs limply over their bodies. The sound of Abby's footsteps down the stairs make Bellamy's head turn. "Can I get you something to eat, Bellamy?" Asks Abby. Clarke sits and rubs her eyes.
"Thanks but I should head home."
"Where am I?" mutters Clarke. Abby smiles.
"You two had fallen asleep when I got home from the hospital, and I couldn't bear to wake you up." Clarke's cheeks turn a slight pinkish color.
"Umm... I'm gonna go" says Bellamy.
"I'll walk you to the door" Clarke replies. When they reach the door, Bellamy speaks.
"Well, I guess Octavia was right about me not coming home last night." Clarke looks down at her feet.
"Yeah but nothing happened." Silence dominates their conversation for a few seconds until Bellamy remarks
"Or did i?"Before Clarke can question what he meant, their lips meet. Gentle at first then once Bellamy is sure Clarke agrees upon it, more intense. Their kiss is broken by Clarkes Mom calling from the far-off kitchen.
"Clarke, can you stop by the store this afternoon? We're out of milk." Clarke sighs.
"See you at school princess" Bellamy whispers turning and walking towards his car.
"Bye Bell," she mumbles, but he is already too far away to hear.
What do you think? I decided to continue the story and I am glad I did. Thank you to RavenReyes0G for the support! Bye for now:)
