Chapter 3

School is boring, per usual. Throughout the whole morning, the only communication between Bellamy and Clarke is a greeting of "hello" and awkward eye contact. To Clarke's relief, Octavia is to busy gazing with wide eyes at Raven during class to mention Bellamy not coming home.

While their physics teacher explains thermodynamics Clarke lets her mind wander to the morning, only a few hours before. She should've pulled away from their kiss, she should have, but she didn't. She didn't because she enjoyed it. The kiss that lasted ten seconds made her realize something that has taken her years to admit. She is in love with Bellamy Blake. The explosion of butterflies in her stomach when their lips met was not a mistaken feeling. How would she tell him this? Would he feel the same way?

Suddenly the school's intercom begins to speak.

" Bellamy and Octavia Blake, please report to the main office, I repeat Bellamy and Octavia Blake please report to the main office." Octavia rises from her seat with a confused look on her face.

"Where are you going?" asked Clarke.

"I ahh don't know." Octavia hastily shoves her papers in her backpack while making her way to the door.

"Text me" calls Raven. Octavia nods. The classroom door closes.

Octavia doesn't text Raven, but Bellamy does.

Over Text:

Bellamy: Hey Raven, our Mom got in a car crash. The doctors don't know the extent of the damage yet, so she has to stay in the hospital for a few days. And although O says she doesn't want to bother u I know she wants you here. U don't have to stay long just enough to lift her spirits. Tell the others what happened. We'll probably won't be in school tomorrow. Thx btw it means a lot.

Raven: Don't worry about it we'll all be there. C u soon.

Bellamy: You don't have to all come.

Raven: Yes we do.

In Real Life:

Soon everyone is pilled into Monty's Mom's minivan and begins to drive to the hospital. "Hey Raven, I have an idea, how about you try not to get us in a car crash" comments Murphy. Raven says nothing; instead, she applies more pressure to the gas pedal, so the car is now going 30 miles over the speed limit, 10 miles increased since they started. Everyone glares at Murphy. He raises his hands in Surrender.

"Raven, Octavia wasn't even in the car crash, she's ok," says Jasper.

"What the hell is that suppose to mean?"

"Oh com'on Raven, you're always flirting with her."

"I flirt with everyone" replies Raven. Clarke's heart sinks in sympathy for Octavia. The rest of the car ride is silent, they all know better than to test Raven.

After a long stressful drive, Raven pulls into the hospital parking lot. Octavia is waiting on a bench. "You guys didn't have to come" she exclaims, obviously casting a dark glare at Clarke. What did I do now? Wondered Clarke. Thankfully their uncomfortable moment does not last long. Raven steps out of the car and rushes towards Octavia. Octavia, a person who typically shies away from hugs, wraps her arms around Raven's waist and buries her head in her shoulder.

"We're going to see Bellamy" declares Clarke, the others follow her inside. Octavia raises her head while Raven strokes her hair.

"You ok?" questions Raven.

"Y-eess I'm ok."Although said with determined eyes a single tear rides down her cheek.

"Hey, its ok to cry, it ok to be afraid."

"I am not afraid" she whispers but tears fall anyway. Octavia repeats the phrase breathing in the smell of toasted metal permanently petrified in Ravens STEM uniform.

"How about we grab a milkshake at the diner around the corner?" Raven asks. Octavia nods, together they walk down the path towards the diner with their arms around each other, the thought of her Mother's uncertain fate lingering on Octavia's mind.

The rest of this scene will be posted later on in the week once I have time to edit it. There will be Bellarke in it! So excited tomorrow is Friday, it's been a longgggg week. Thoughts on Octaven? Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Bye for now!
