After various talks with the soldiers, the company of the King, Cornelius and the second set of troops head to battle. This second set of troops consist of 400,000 barbarians, 300 archers and 20,000 chariots. All southerners have amalgamated to form this second troop. Although the first troop await the signal of the king outside the city walls. During the great war, Lionel's worst fictionality comes to reality. Lionel has to "betray" as he calls it, the one thing he ever tried to build. To change the drastic vision of the war, Lionel shows his impersonal character in this final deluge of "The duel".

(Lionel in the upper room)

Lionel: Father, today I lift the shield of our pride. I will conquer the enemy by your sword. I have watched you countless times as you strode above battalions, warred against armies and renegades. Your death is a lasting pain to me. I come before you father, because I know how much pain I have gone through, how much pain awaits and what the end will request for, that I cannot perceive. I do not believe in magic or gods of darkness. When I was born you brought me out to see light. As the rays of the sun hit my clutched eyes, I saw nothing but truth. Today, I fight for my people, for you and for Josethello.

Cornelius: Sire, the soldiers are all set for battle.

Agada: where is the king?

Guard: He insisted that no one followed him. He is in the upper room. When I tried to ask for reason why he didn't want us around. He persuaded that he needed to be alone for a while.

Cornelius: We do not have time for this, we need to leave as soon as possible. Jorel must be at Healma now.

Agada: The soldiers are all set for battle, where is Lionel?

Cornelius: Well, I think Lionel is not ready yet, if you ask me, a boy has nothing to lose, but me, with such wisdom, knowledge and bravery, I should really consider fearing this war. Do not fear my queen, for with me by your side, we will shake mountains.

Agada: We are just so, ahh!!, snake!!

Cornelius: (flings his sword and hugs the guard) Ahh, take it away from me, where is it?

Agada: in your guts.

(Agada and the guard laugh scornfully while Lionel seizes them unaware)

Lionel: We have war ahead of us this is no time to laugh. There will be lots of bloodshed and pain. All you do is laugh.

Agada: My son I duly apologize for such insolence and lack of respect for such a pitiful occasion that awaits us.

Lionel: Cornelius, do we have the troops ready?

Cornelius: Yes, my king, they have been out and ready for a long time now.

Lionel: I want to see them, it is time to do what I need to do. We shall see victory. Mother, shall we?

Agada: No, Lionel you refused to take protections and it came to my notice for this is only for your benefit.

Lionel: Mother, do I look as one who fears to die. I do not need any protection for it is not my way. We both know how seeking powers from sorcerers made my Uncle a cunt. Slaving for powers and still unable to box his hand without an abash of darkness. Mother, I am fine. I do not need protection. I am protection.

Agada: Son, you cannot leave without protection, it is against the customs.

Lionel: Did the customs say that Crotches Ray Markel should have limited power?
