The king attempts to embrace his son but it ends in a rather not so nice but emotional scene. This scene begins with the king bothered about the "four heavens"and the introduction of Agada and Lionel.  This is one of the shortest scenes in " The duel".

Caesar : You have no idea what it means to stay and reside in a sanctuary, the holiest of places in my heart. You do not deserve to be king. You will cause the death of all those innocent lives. Your father failed and you will fail too. (Soliloquy).

Agada : Hey, what do you speak? Who do you speak too?

Caesar : i'm weighed down, Agada.

Agada :  What weighs the toughest man i know?

Caesar : You wouldn't catch a fancy but it is life and death.

Agada : Then, it sure has to deal with the "Four heavens".

Caesar : How did you know that? (amazed).

Agada : It is not only the butterflies that know how to glide in the air. Of course, i know, you have been singing these things about the Four Heavens in the shower, in the courtyard, in the palace, at night when you dream and now at the balcony. Where of course, you look at the dealings of people, merchants, traders, farmers everyday and blame yourself of their impending death. ( pats his back) everybody has to die someday. (Walks away).

Caesar : Where is Lionel?

Agada : Where else do you think he will be? Go and look for your son.

Caesar : Lionel!

Agada : Go and look for him; he is not a steward, he is your son.

Caesar : Woman, be silenced as far as he resides in this kingdom, he is a slave of the king.

Agada : The heavens forbid; not my son. Excuse me, i'm not a woman, i'm a queen; choose your words!! (walks away).

(Caesar goes to the inner courtyard in search of his son).

Caesar : Son!!!

Lionel : Hey, dad

Caesar : Don't be a disgraceful mongrel. I am a king.

Lionel : I apologize father, sorry my king.

Caesar : Its normal, i'm sorry i think i went a little cranky cause of your mother's...

Lionel : (interrupts) No, it's fine,  you are a king aren't you?.

Caesar : Son,  i know i haven't been a great deal of a Father recently. I mean we have had an up_and_down relationship lately.

Lionel : Dad,  i'm right behind you. As a king and as a father you have always been a guard that i will want to keep till i rot and leaves cover my forehead.

Caesar : (Looks straight into his eyes and mumbles) I-I love you,  son.

Lionel : Love you too,  My king.

Caesar : No call me dad.

Lionel : Love you too,  Dad

( Both embrace each other)
