It's been a while since I've seen electricity, let alone other people.
"What happened?" I asked then in the suit.
He replied with "You got lucky. That's what happened."
"Care to explain?"
"As we were driving by, looking for just a walker. If you haven't heard, we were working on a cure. Something to turn the walkers back into people. The inhumane things that are now the top of the pyramid."
"How did it all start?" I asked hoping to finally find the answer.
"My colleagues wife, had cancer. He had made this vaccine to try and cure cancer. As you can tell, it had a negative affect of her. She was brain dead for about three minutes. She had come back, but not human. He had to shoot her. It was unlike anything I had ever seen. Crazy what a man would do for love..."
He was cut off as we heard the sound of a gun. A sound that was very familiar.
The man in the suit, with a tear rolling down his cheek called out for the defenses to come into play. I had sprinted out of the room calling for Danny. Even if he had been yelling back to me, I couldn't hear it over the commotion in the crowd of people. I was running for a big, steel, bulletproof door coming down. I was running as fast as I could. It wasn't enough. The door shut. I turned around and there were walkers right behind me. I was trapped. I had reached for were my knife was but couldn't find it. They had stripped me of all my weapons.
There was no where to run.
